Took a tour to Saint Emilion led by David who was knowledgeable about wines and the location history. The tour was great, learnt nuggets of info about Bordeaux, wine production process, and had an aweseome wine tasting. There was also a short walking tour around the sights and monuments in the village Saint Emilion. Thanks!

I’ve come to Kumar before. But this is my first time experiencing a full day wine tour. Jerome, a driver and interpreter was fantastic. His knowledge of the region and it’s history added to the overall experience. Enjoyed all of the wineries that we visited and I would highly recommend this tour to be able to see the region and also experience the wonderful wines that are produced here.

We booked this tour outside of our riverboat cruise itinerary. It was wonderful! Our Guide, David, was well informed, answered all our questions and safely maneuvered us through all the tight spots! We highly recommend this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Rocamadour (on the 4th of April) and were incredibly lucky to have Martin as our guide. He is a very knowledgeable and kind person who shared fascinating details about the sanctuary and its medieval history. His storytelling was both engaging and entertaining. We highly recommend excursions to Rocamadour led by Martin.

Our day flew by with each winery being generous, very interesting, and informative. The wines were all very good too. Unforgettable Experience with Ophorus and our Incredible Guide Thierry! Our day with Ophorus Day Trips and Wine Tours in Alsace was nothing short of exceptional. We’ve experienced many guided tours through various travel companies over the years, but Thierry—our guide on this journey—was, by far, the best we’ve ever had. His enthusiasm for people, culture, and history radiated through every moment, and his warm personality made us feel as though we were exploring with a lifelong friend. We already miss him and the incredible memories we created together. Booking through Ophorus was seamless, and the meeting point was easy to find. The van was comfortable, air-conditioned (a must on warmer days!) and ideal for the small-group setting that we love—it created a more intimate atmosphere and allowed us to connect with fellow travelers along the way. Thierry brought each stop to life with rich stories and insights, offering us a deeper understanding of the region’s culture and past. A highlight was visiting the prestigious Dopff wine estate, where we sampled some of the finest Alsatian wines. Unless you’re already a wine connoisseur, you won’t believe the quality until you taste it straight from the source. There were plenty of opportunities to purchase bottles to enjoy on your trip or to take home (or even ship, if needed). We were also happy with the included castle tour of Haut Koenigsbourg which offered fascinating history and a chance to explore this gem of the region. The picturesque villages of Eguisheim, Riquewihr, and Kaysersberg were straight out of a storybook. Learning the blend of French and German influences in these towns added so much depth to our visit. We especially enjoyed our lunch in Riquewihr and even purchased art directly from a local artist—a memory we’ll always treasure. We were a family of 3 traveling together — My 83 years young Father, my young adult daughter and myself —and this tour created priceless moments for all three generations. We will absolutely book with Ophorus again and will request Thierry by name if possible. His passion and expertise elevated the entire experience, and we can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Merci, Ophorus and Thierry, for memories we will carry forever!

Ein großartiger Tag mit Laurent als freundlichem Guide, der uns auf unterhaltsame Art und Weise durch das wunderschöne Elsass gefahren hat. Wir haben zwei charmante Weingüter besucht und besichtigt, viel über die Geschichte und den Wein aus dem Elsass erfahren und vor allem viel Wein und Cremant verköstigen dürfen. Bitte vorher gut essen oder Baguette o.ä. dabei haben, es gibt zur Degustation nur Cracker. Die Weine haben uns überrascht und sehr gut geschmeckt. Das alles noch bei traumhaftem Wetter. Sogar Mutter Storch hat uns in Gertwiller auf dem Weingut Habsiger besucht. Sehr kurzweiliger und äußerst geselliger Ausflug, wir waren begeistert. Vielen Dank!
