Fantastic day out with Oscar as our tour guide.

I absolutely loved the town of Saint Emilion and the stunning wineries. The area is pristine perfect. Oscar was so wonderful with his knowledge of wine, the town and the history of the area. His safe driving was also much appreciated. A wonderful friendly group who all got along famously.

Fun afternoon wine tour!

Roxanne was our tour guide and driver. She arrived to the meeting place on-time and took our group of 8 to a family winery. The owner of the winery talked to us about the process of wine making and showed us the fermentation tanks and bottling equipment. Next we went into the tasting room where we tasted 6 wines. Roxanne provided the translation from French to English. We drove about 30 minutes and were able to see the distant mountains and vineyards. Our second stop (maybe another 30-40 minutes) was at a wine co-op that includes 200 small vineyards. We tasted about 8 wines including a delicious Grand Cru Riesling. The tour was about 5 hours due to some slowed traffic. Roxanne was informative and friendly and our group got along well. She was able to drop us at the square which was much closer to our hotel.

Fun, easy way to experience Alsace wineries

Fun tour of a local vintner’s home where they produce wine and a cooperative winery where a groups of vintners produce wine in small batches. Our host was quite knowledgeable and easy going. She answered lots of questions and helped interpret for those of us who didn’t speak French. Nice small group in a small van so it didn’t feel like a big tourist group.

We had good time. Lea was nice and very helpful. About wines and chateaux, we where hoping to have more cabernet sauvignon as we where in Medoc, but this time chosen chateaux's had selection of wines quite a lot of Merlo, like they have in Saint Emilion. I hope next time to have more cabs :).

We had an incredible experience with Jerome- it was more than a wine tour. It was a mixture of history, wine, culture, conversation, food, so much more than we could have asked of a curated wine tour. They clearly hand pick wineries that will wow you and open your eyes to what wine from Alsace can be like. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon. Thank you Jerome!!

Buyer Beware!! Don’t purchase the “transfer”. Just get the guided tour. We did two tours with this company. One was excellent. The other was misleading and a complete waste of $$. Their “Transfer to Mont Saint Michel was described as “seamless and comfortable experience tailored to tour needs” and “travel…while enjoying live commentary on board from our knowledgeable English-speaking driver”. En route , our driver pointed out a monument or two that we passed and a driveway that sometimes has a peacock and chatted about where we were from. BUT then informed us that they weren’t an approved guide for Mont Saint Michel and that this was only a drive and that we didn’t pay for a guide. While we never expected a guide once we arrived on site (the description did say we would explore on our own), we DID expect that the “commentary” would have something/everything to do with our destination. Other tours (including with this same company!) have been FULL of information about our destinations for nearly every moment of the drive. But we got NOTHING. Upon posting a review, we were contacted by the company asking us if this was , indeed, what we had experienced because “it would be very unusual” because our driver “is cery capable of sharing relevant insights about the region”. We replied, in detail, only for them to change their online description of the trip (we have screenshots of the before (taken during our drive after being informed that we didn’t pay for that) and stated that the transfer only was “clearly described in the product description , acting as though we had misunderstood what we purchased. They made an “offer of goodwill” (their words) for 15% off a future tour (but they had sent out this same offer upon the completion of our trip and before we posted a review). BE AWARE : for our family of 4, we could have hired a private round trip Uber for $250. We paid $450 to make the same trip in a full van, with Orpheus, to hear about peacocks and a couple of statues on the side of the road. Attached are screen shots of what we purchased and what was still listed during our actual travel time to the location, and what they changed it to before essentially telling us that we got what we paid for. Two stars because our other tour with them was great. It’s a shame they can’t be more honorable about everything they offer.
