Wonderful tour

Our tour guide Maud was excellent and the winery was beautiful. The wine we sampled was excellent. I only wish we had more time to explore the village of St Emilion.

Great half day tour to Dordogne villages from Sarlat

Wonderful 1/2 day tour to Dordogne Villages from Sarlat. Anne was our tour guide and made it the best tour. Because of so much rain, she knew how to organize the trip so that we could see the towns with the best weather possible. We were not able to take the boat ride due to the inclement weather, but we were able to visit another beautiful village instead. And, a secret about Anne - she knows all about Bruno, if you are a Martin Walker fan. We would highly recommend this trip whether or not you are able to take the boat trip, and it will be an especially great tour if you have Anne as your guide.

A great day trip from Bordeaux

Our Medoc wine tour was one of the highlights of our visit to the Bordeaux region. We visited three chateaux for tastings and made a quick stop for a nice lunch. Our guide, Leticia, was very knowledgeable and a great hostess to all of the tour group members. She also gave us some good recommendations for restaurants back in Bordeaux. We would highly recommend the tour, and Leticia in particular.

Charlene was a great tour guide, teaching us a variety of interesting information about two Chateaus that we visited. She had great recommendations for food in Amboise as well as in Tours. The Chambord castle was exceptionally interesting and would have been much less interesting without our tourguide!

This tour was definitely better than we were expecting. There is no way you could see & do all of the things we did that day on your own. The wine tastings and vineyard tours were all excellent, and our guide, Carol, was awesome. We did a ton of research before our trip to try to find all the best places to eat… but the 2 spots she sent us to were the top 2 in the end. I absolutely recommend doing this tour as well as the St Emilion full day tour.

I really liked the convenience of the meeting place and our tour guide, Magalie, was amazing. She has so much information to share and it was easy to see that she loves what she is doing. the transportation itself was a bit rough - the van was clean, but it felt like a lot of driving between each location. I felt a little rushed from site to site, because we had to drive to the next place. this time was filled with more information sharing and wasn't a waste of time, it just felt a little long.

We had a wonderful time on our tour! Our multilingual, six-person group was heartily led by Thierry, who led mostly in English but would switch to French briefly for the benefit of a youngster who was traveling with her mom on a school holiday. Thierry was extremely well-versed in the history of the sites on our tour: the castle at Haut Koenigsbourg and the towns of Riquewihr and Eguisheim. The castle is high on a hill and weather can change quickly, so be sure to have a jacket and an umbrella with you, especially in autumn. Thierry was a guide at the castle for four years, and knew all the ins-and-outs. Near the end of his tour, when he was excited to show us the view from the top, the fog had rolled in, unfortunately! The stop in Riquewihr is just enough time to find lunch on your own, but for those wishing to do a little souvenir shopping, be aware that lunches tend to linger. We had a lovely wine tasting with a warm host, and ended up with a couple of good bottles to take back with us. Thierry then took us on a walk of the quaint village of Eguisheim and explained its history as a double-walled layout, its half-timbered housing, its notoriety as the birthplace of an Alsatian pope (Leo IX), and customs such as door decorations. All in all, a fun one-day tour with the intimacy of a private tour but also the opportunity to meet and spend the day with a few other people from other parts of the world.

A pleasant day trip

A well run tour with a knowledgeable guide. A nice mix of guided tour and free time at each chateaux. A lot of walking and climbing involved. A fair bit of driving, but that can't be helped. When we went in mid-October crowds were not bad. Even in October the gardens were attractive. There is nice stop for lunch in a small village.
