The only advantage was skipping the long line to get in. After that the pushing and shoving was over the top. The tour guide was knowledgeable but we couldn’t hear her most of the time.

We enjoyed the tour very much. The driver was very knowledgeable but talked nonstop. It got old. But really, great tour!

The Murano & Burano Tour by private boat was an acceptable experience, nevertheless a little disappointing. Our guide Manu was very knowledgeable. She used the boat rides to/and between the islands to brief us about the history and craft traditions. We had one hour on Murano, with a glassblowing demonstration followed by access to view their exhibition rooms. We saw wonderful examples of the work, but there was little at an affordable price on offer in the shop. There was no time to see anything of the island itself. In Burano, Manu led us to the small shop on the High Street. There we had a 10 minute explanation about the traditional lace production, with an elderly island resident worked quietly on a piece of lace. We then had 45 mins to explore the High Street shops and get some lunch. In hindsight, I probably would have preferred to visit and browse each island independently - the boat rides are frequent & inexpensive. A guided tour did not really add value to the experience.

Martha was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the classics. She hit the highlights and moved us at a very good pace. Enjoyed her personal insights into various pieces of art. Overall this was a great experience.

Visite réservée en anglais, par erreur, mais nous avons eu la chance d’être accueillis par Carole, guide française, très sympathique et très compréhensive, qui a gentiment complété ses commentaires pour nous. La visite est bien construite et très riche grâce à ses connaissances énormes et à un intérêt évident pour le lieu. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce moment et le recommandons vivement.
