Mild to Wild was a great company to book excursions with around Durango. We were so happy with our La Plata Canyon tour we booked another to Mesa Verde. Jared on the Canyon tour was so very knowledgeable and helpful. Cat on the Mesa Verda tour did an excellent job of sharing info and some hidden gems along the way. Thank you!!

We had our best family vacation ever in Lodore Canyon on the Green River with Mild to Wild. Thanks for a great trip, Jackson, Caleb, Ziggy, Miles, Scotty, and Emma! The scenery was breathtaking, the rafting was epic, and the guides felt like old friends by the end of the trip. We enjoyed the other guests on our trip so much too. Games after dinner were a blast! The food was delicious and fresh. I can't recommend this trip highly enough!

Great Half-Day River Tour for Families
We went on the half-day, 5-mile rafting tour and had a fantastic experience. The trip was very well organized by Mild to Wild — everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Irving was a great guide! He kept things fun, safe, and engaging for everyone. Our nine and ten year old kids especially loved jumping into the river and playing with other kids on the nearby rafts. We felt comfortable the whole time and really enjoyed this unique and memorable adventure. Highly recommend!

We had a blast! It was our first time rafting! Sam, our guide, did an amazing job! He was fun, informative and very knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely be back and do it again! He really made us first timers feel safe and secure and put us nervous ones at ease. Thank you Sam!!

Great Rafting Experience!
We had a great trip with Riley! He kept the conversation funny and interesting. The Lower Animas tour was on the more mild side. Only one short spot was class 3. Would definitely go rafting again the next time we are in Durango!

I moved to Durango about two years ago because I am scared to death of water and I needed to get away from the ocean, which was close to where I lived. I have been battling this phobia for most of my life, and I am scorned by friends and family. I was drugged and I woke up on a raft on the Animas river with Toby as my guide. I was scared, but Tony held me close to his breast and soothed my tears away. That was when I learned that Toby has magical powers. Right about the time that the raft hit 32nd, pirates descended upon the river and attacked our boats. Toby fought them off with his mighty paddle and used his kayak as a shield. He defended the honor of my wife, and my friend's daughter. I can't imagine what would've happened if Toby had not been there. Later on, my best friend Johnny had a heart attack. Toby was on the scene! He jumped into Johnny's kayak and gave him CPR and mouth and mouth. It wasn't even kinky. After Johnny had been pronounced dead, Toby laid his hands on Johnny's chest and said a quiet prayer. Johnny sprung back to life as though nothing had happened. I couldn't believe my eyes, and we all started to worship Toby. Toby should be canonized as a saint. If we would just release Toby into a war zone, he would end conflict on a global level. I'm voting Toby 2028.

Yesterday, my husband and I had a fantastic day, sitting back and letting guide extraordinaire Jay do a great job driving while keeping us entertained with his knowledge about Durango and Mesa Verde National Park. As a couple who seldom take a guided tour, we found Mild-to-Wild's full day visit to the park, complete with passes to the Cliff Palace and a very nice lunch, to be a great value. Jay did an excellent keeping us all involved in conversation - what a beautiful day!

Went out on a full day raft trip and had a great time. The trip overall was enoyable, professional and safe. Our guide Claudia was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We ended up with a day of great conversation and sightseeing. Claudia even helped jump our car's dead battery at the end of the day. Couldn't recommend these guys enough!

We had an incredible experience with Mild to Wild Rafting! From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and most of all—fun! Our guide, Justin, was absolutely awesome. He was knowledgeable, easygoing, and made sure everyone felt safe while keeping the trip full of laughs and excitement. The scenery along the river was stunning, and the rapids were just the right mix of thrilling and manageable for our group. Justin added so much to the experience with his stories, rafting tips, and positive energy. You can tell he really loves what he does. If you’re looking for a top-tier whitewater rafting adventure in Durango, look no further than Mild to Wild—and if you can request Justin as your guide, do it! We’ll definitely be back.

Booked white water tubing not rafting, but worked out good because the water is soooo cold. when talking with our guide we found out Intermediate and beginner is the same no difference, not sure why they advertise both levels if it’s the same. Water was pretty low, so you hit many rocks and got stuck. Don’t recommend going so late in the season not the best experience, Overall booking was easy and people were nice, just not the best experience due to low water levels and guide could of talked to us more.
