Great for kids

The Splash & Dash experience was perfect. It was mixed with beginner adults and a 9 and 10 year old. We all had fun! Our guide Annie was great. She made the experience educational and comfortable for all of us.

Gates of LaDore Father/Son Experience

We did a Father/Son trip down thru the Gates of LaDore. 3 nights. The trip was fantastic, the guides, the food, the planning were all first class. Highly Recommend.

Seriously, such an amazing experience. Made even better because of their staff. It feels like a five star experience in the wilderness. These guys are so fun, & work so hard to help everyone have a good experience, from young and old participants on the rafting trip. We went to the Gates of Lodore with Jordan, Devon, Brandon, Myles, Josie, & Jackson. These guys would be welcome at my place anytime. Such quality people. This is the kind of four group you want to go with. Thank you so much!!

Our day was made special by our guide, Sami K. She was so much fun and kept the entire group entertained from start to finish. My wife and I are seniors and she made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend Mild to Wild to all ages, come have some fun!!!

Seriously can’t say enough good things about our time on the river with mild to wild! Our guide Jason was so amazing and made us feel confident and comfortable as first time rafters. He taught my kids how to slap the paddle and make a loud splash which was so silly and she loved! By the end of the trip they were saying we should have booked the longer day, maybe next time! All the guides were great and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. The river was pretty mellow when we went with lots of fun technical rock dodging… can’t wait to go back and experience a fuller water flow! Thanks Jason and mild to wild for a great day!

The guide I had was awesome! His name was dean! He let me call him Captian! I would like to give him and Skyler the two guides me and my family had five stars! I have special needs and they made sure I had a great time! They are two very patient people! Highly recommend having them as your guides

10/10 Rafting experience

Nate (commonly referred to as "Big Dog") single handedly wrestled a sea serpent that was threatening the integrity of our raft, which had been previously named the "Little Dog" as a tribute to the Big Dog himself, with only his bare hands. Upon the defeat of said sea serpent, Nate a.k.a Big Dog simply propelled himself out of the water and landed back into our raft as if it was just another day at work for Big Dog. Big Dog then proceeded to effortlessly recommend one of the finest sandwich shops that I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. It seemed like this was just another day at the office for Big Dog a.k.a Nate.

The staff here is phenomenal! Competent, fun, and can-do— a nearly impossible combination to achieve, but every person here has it in spades. Our family was split between two rafts and our guides in particular, Skyler and Dean, became the most noteworthy part of our Colorado vacation. Skyler’s energy was a perfect match to my equally as energetic 12-year-old, and several times he stopped their raft to provide help to other rafts. It was a kind example for my kids to see. Dean was beyond patient with one of my other sons, who has special needs and wasn’t at all sure he even wanted to be there. He even found ways to involve him when possible. It was a stellar experience thanks to them and their peers.

Put a multi-day trip in Cataract Canyon on your must do list! It was the perfect combination of breathtaking scenery; exciting rapids & we made incredible lifelong memories. You need to request either Jeff Bolton or Ben Carter to be your guides, as they were skilled oarsmen, knew Cataract Canyon’s intimate details, inspired great conversations and were instrumental in making the trip a 5 Star experience. They ensured we were safe at all times, picked the best campgrounds with shade, showed us a beautiful hike and were great cooks that worked as a team to create healthy & delicious meals. Mild to Wild has dedicated chefs that selected our fresh food and previously taste tested all the meals. The boats have awnings to keep you out of the sun and hauled all our gear plus inflatable Ducky kayaks to run the smaller rapids – we had a blast! I have traveled more than most people and this was one of my favorite family experiences.

This company came highly recommended by my brother, and I’m so glad I chose to book the 9:30 AM Intermediate white water rafting tour with them. Our guide, Matt, brought over 20 years of experience to the trip, and his expertise made me feel completely at ease. He was approachable, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating insights about the landscape, history, and ecosystem of Clear Creek and Idaho Springs. He even offered great local tips about nearby towns like Morrison. I had a fantastic experience and look forward to booking with them again in the future.
