Cataract Canyon Instructional Kayak trip with 4Corner River Sports April 8 - 11, 2026: I enjoyed this trip immensely, in spite of some pre-trip nerves. Cataract Canyon has quite a reputation for challenging rapids, as well as access and egress challenges. These unique logistics were efficiently and smoothly organized by M2W. The M2W guides were knowledgeable, professional, helpful, accommodating, and personable. They communicated with us, the student/clients, clearly and in a timely manner in all situations - on the water and on land. The clear communication and obvious expertise from both the M2W and the 4CRS crew provided a safe environment for learning. The M2W lead guide, Marcus, set a up-beat yet low key "everything was handled" professional tone. Marcus and his staff of 3 guides (Jordan, Trey, Drew) were always available to support us kayakers and patiently answer any questions on the river and off. They also worked seamlessly with the three 4CRS instructional staff. The food was plentiful and yummy. The camps were lovely. The jet boat access (first 50 miles) and raft-motor (last 24 miles) was fun. The canyon scenery is spectacular. Our two hikes (Doll House and Clearwater Creek) were wonderful. It was a fabulous trip. I look forward to participating in more instructional multi-day kayak trips with the Mild to Wild - 4Corners Rivers Sports partnership.

Such an amazing 3 day on the Cataract River in Moab. Jackson, Hayden and Marcus knocked it out the park. The best food everyday. Even made my buddy a birthday cake. Best camp spots, stories and information. Thanks a million and we will definitely be back. See you next year.

We had so much fun with Avery during our half day kayak tour down the Colorado! She’s incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and skillful - a guiding dream! Get yourself to Moab and get out with her for a wonderful excursion!

I cannot say enough about the experience on the river with Shawn. What a fun day we had. 20 mile an hour “Ws” heading up river. Shawn stayed calm and went with the flow of our group. Having booked a whole day he knew he was in for a workout. Boy did he. Keeping a constant smile on his face he work hard to make sure we had an amazing day. He gave clear instructions on how to crew the raft and made it very easy for all of us to assist when those gusts came in. We all had a lot of laughs and a great time. Thanks Shawn!!

Great trip to see the canyons and views. Nice to have someone else drive while we could enjoy the views. Our guide Alec was very courteous and kmowledgable of the area and very helpful. I am glad t have taken this tour.

The rafting was excellent. In April 2026, if was more of a float than white water. The views were incredible. Seth was a good guide, and did almost all of the rowing.

We had a blast. It was exactly the level we wanted, a little more relaxed so we could really take in the gorgeous views. Our guides, Nina and Seth, were very knowledgeable about the rock formations and the river. They and Dave(our driver) obviously enjoy their work. This is a great tour for children and adults. Highly recommend.

I rafted the Upper Animas with Mild to Wild last year and had such an incredible experience that I knew I had to come back. The guides were amazing, the trip was so well run, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my year. Now I’m getting ready to raft the Arkansas River with them and I’m so excited. I already know it’s going to be another unforgettable trip. I seriously can’t wait to keep coming back and doing more trips with this crew.
