We had a GREAT time! Lauren is an AWESOME guide!!! In addition to expert paddling, she pointed out lots of wildlife along the way. Our driver to and from the put in/out location, David, was fantastic too. He was very helpful and fun too. I definitely recommend this company!

Daren was an exceptional Jeep tour guide. He took us to some incredible spots, taught our kids about plants, rock structures, petroglyphs, and geological and human history in Moab and the 4 corners. Super cool guy.

Rafting Review

Rafting the Colorado River was hands down one of the most unforgettable experiences. From the moment we pushed off, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking- towering canyon walls and wildlife, and views that felt straight out of a movie. Our guide,Lenny, was incredible. She was knowledgeable and made everyone feel safe and confident. The rapids were the perfect mix of thrilling and fun. What really stood out was how peaceful and awe-inspiring the quieter stretches were. Floating along taking in the beauty and just being present in that moment was something I didn’t expect to love as much as I did. Everything was well organized, professional, and seamless from start to finish. Thank you Mild to Wild for a wonderful experience!

Lovely float down the Colorado with Lennie!

My husband and I had a delightful float down the Colorado River yesterday with Lennie and one other couple, Ronnie and Melissa. Because the water was very low, the rapids were tame, still fun though! The scenery is spectacular on that side of Arches. We saw an eagle flying and another in its nest, three otters eating a fish, many goose families and a great blue heron posing on a rock. Many photo ops! Lennie did a great job running the raft and directing us when needed. She also is a champ at generating small talk. It was helpful that all 5 of us are chatty! An added bonus was our charming bus driver, Dave, who welcomed every person onto the bus and shared his love for the river with enthusiasm! He also took great photos! This half-day trip is well worth the price! It was a nice alternative from the miles of hiking we had finished over the past 10 days. Seeing canyons from the water is always a special experience.

This was one of the best “adventures” we have ever had. The jeep trip up the mountain was breathtaking. The driver/guide was always pointing out things of interest…he was extremely knowledgeable and fun to listen. After the jeep trip we went whiter rafting. Again, just awesome. The “Captain” of our raft knew tons of information about things along the trip. Exciting but never anything dangerous. For the best and exciting opportunity in outdoor adventures you HAVE to go to Mild2Wild!!!

This trip was amazing! the guides were so awesome and took care of our every need. They were very knowledgeable and informative. We had a group of 22 people, and it was so much fun. Thank you to Seath for guiding our group on the rafting trip. It will be something we remember for a lifetime.

Such a great 1/2 day on...

Such a great 1/2 day on the Colorado River! It was chill but fun. Adam entertained us while Kendall rowed us along. While we helped her row some, we thought we’d participate more. Later I learned that she doesn’t like to make her guests “work”… so if you want to row more, maybe mention it to your guide.

Unforgettable La Plata Canyon Adventure with Tosh!

My husband and I had an incredible half-day jeep tour through La Plata Canyon with Mild to Wild Raft & Jeep Adventures, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Durango. Our guide, Tosh, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He shared fascinating insights about the local wildlife, the unique topography, and the rich history of the region, including the story of La Plata City and its mining past. It really added so much depth to the experience. We were lucky enough to see marmots and deer along the way, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. A fresh snowfall the night before made everything even more beautiful, with stunning views and waterfalls throughout the canyon. If you’re visiting the Durango area, I highly recommend this tour. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, education, and unforgettable scenery!

We did the full day rafting tour. It is advertised as 7 hours (8:30-3:30) with 5 hours on the water. However it is way shorter than this. Arrived at 8:30 but they didn’t get us life vests and do safety talks until 9. Then we drove a ways to the river so we put in the rafts at 10:30. We were on a boat with others who bought the half day tour and we took out our raft at 11:45 at which point we had lunch and the half day people got on the bus to leave so half day raft was only an hour and 15 minutes. We had a quick lunch then put back in at 12 and rafted til about 1:45 before heading back to the parking lot. We were promised 5 hours on the water but it’s actually only 3 hours on the water. We were back to our car by 3pm. So it’s really 6 hours (9-3) with 3 hours on the water and 3 hours getting ready and driving to and from the river. Our tour guide forgot our paddles which was fine because it’s only class 1 and 2 rapids (which is really a scenic float, not white water rafting) but kind of a bummer that we didn’t get to paddle. If you are looking for a chill boat ride and willing to go give up a whole day for not a ton of water time, this is the trip for you.

This was a great way to see Arches National Park. Darren, our guide, was very knowledgable about the topography, plant life, and history. Light hiking combined with the tour van, really worked for us.

What an absolutely fantastic trip on the Arkansas River. Browns Canyon is an exhilarating and scenic stretch of river and Buena Vista is a beautiful place to stay. Mild to Wild really has the service dialed and everyone genuinely seemed to love what they do. They have excellent energy and create such a memorable adventure. Would 10/10 recommend!

An Amazing Tour

My husband and I arrived to Moab by train so we didn’t have our car to see the sights. This 1/2 day tour of Arches National Park exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Alec, was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. We really enjoyed the tour and recommend it to others.

A Wonderful Trip to Remember

The guides are well trained and certified. Not all rafting companies have to comply with certification but here they do! Unfortunately, river was low so rapids were classified as 1.5-2 which is out of the companies control. Avery our guide was friendly, knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. I’d go rafting anytime with her. My family enjoyed themselves. I’d highly recommend this company.
