Our family had an amazing experience on the river with our guide, Riley. The entire trip from booking to rafting was super easy. Riley covered all the safety practices with us before we boarded the raft and made us feel completely confident for our trip. Once on the water, he guided us through an exciting, fun rafting experience. We have also done a Jeep tour with this company, and it was incredible as well

We did the Upper Animas Needleton Section with Mild to Wild, and we honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. It was hands-down one of the most memorable, exciting, and beautiful days we’ve ever had—and our guides, Kip, Nathaniel, and Trey, were the absolute best. This section of river is intense and full of Class 5 rapids but we felt safe and supported the entire time. Kip, Nathaniel, and Trey were pros, they clearly knew the river inside and out, but just as importantly, they were fun, calm, encouraging, and so genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. You could tell they love what they do, and that energy made all the difference. There were so many moments that stood out—from the stunning train ride in, to the first big rapid that completely soaked us (in the best way), to stopping for lunch in the middle of the mountains—but what really made it special was how dialed-in and thoughtful everything was. The guides handled every detail so we could just enjoy the adventure. And wow, what an adventure it was.

We had Sammy K as our raft tour guide. She provided an amazing trip with a lot of great sights, great dad jokes and a WET time. Would recommend anyone to go on this adventure

We did a mild water rafting excursion with our kiddos. Mild to Wild is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They take pride in not only what they do, but in their surroundings and nature. Devyn was our guide and she is amazing. She goes out of her way to educate people about Moab, the surroundings, and the wildlife that inhabits the area. Great. Easy to book, was informed of the details of the pre-tour and check in. Guide was knowledgeable and engaging with all of the group. Was nice to be able to not have to drive and just watch the sites. Easy timeline, time to enjoy the all the stops.

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Even though our party was 3 old ladies and we were teamed with 4 -12 to15 year olds whose parents were on other rafts, it was great fun! The guide kept it fun for all of us!!

Upper Animas rafting trip.

WOW!! Serious rafting with professional guides! Toby S. Was our guide on the upper Animas in mid June. Mod-high water. BIG rapids! Not for the faint of heart. We had to do a swim test and a paddle test the night before. This was great. They got to assess our skills to make sure we would be safe… and we got to meet our guide before we trusted our wellbeing with him. Toby S was a great fit for us. Could not recommend this trip enough for anyone who has rafted before FIVE ⭐️ STARS.

Jayden was so awesome he made us feel so comfortable and safe on our first time white water rafting. He was so knowledgeable and had such a fun attitude. Amazing Experience!

We had a blast on our rafting trip! The intermediate trip was the perfect combination of Class III rapids with a couple Class IV sprinkled in! Our guides were super knowledgeable and made sure we all had a fantastic time. Can’t wait to come back!

Mild2Wild- multi-night Yampa River through Dinosaur National Monument

I recently (06/2025) got back from an amazing multi-night trip down the Yampa River through Dinosaur National Monument! All of the guides: Brandon- trip leader, Ryan- innate connection to the river, Levi- spiritually in tune, Josie- super sweet, Caleb- endless fun facts, and Ben- best costume dresser were phenomenal! The guides' relaxed personalities really made the trip memorable and fun! Even when accidental swimmers were flailing around, the guides were so calm just plucking us from the water and went about their way as if nothing happened- this is exactly the reaction I needed!! I can’t let go of turmoil in life sometimes, but was grateful for their mellow reactions :-); it gave me the courage to hop back in the duckie after swimming a not-so-fun rapid! I’ve been on a few different multi-night trips down various rivers with other outfitters, and so far this company holds the highest standing in my eyes! From the start, Mild2Wild made sure everything was a great fit for me (solo traveler) as I really wanted to kayak the whole 72 miles and then couldn’t decide between Gates of Lodore vs. Yampa. They steered me towards Yampa and I have no regrets! I paid extra to rent my own duckie for the whole trip, which was worth every penny and I was able to kayak ~70 miles of it! (Minus jumping into the group raft ~2 miles before the crazy Class IV Warm Springs Rapid and minus another 0.25 miles swimming Moonshine Rapid!) The optional hikes between camps and in-camp were amazing! The food was delicious and satisfying! A side note, that doesn’t always pan out and has nothing to do with the company, but this group’s dynamics were amazing! I felt like I was a mini part of almost every family/group! Thank you all for a safe and memorable time! P.S. I already have a second trip booked in Aug 2025 with Mild2Wild ducking Desolation Canyon and can’t wait for my future adventures! I also did a fun duckie day trip on the Moab Daily this past spring break (during the Moab blackout)! I wonder if they have discounts for returning customers?! ;-) we’ll see because I’ll be booking in the future!

Went on the upper animas run with mild to wild. Toby S was amazing the initial swim test the day before helped get ready for the entire day. If you don’t have experience the swim test allows you to learn and practice skills that may be needed. I felt it really was beneficial. Also allows you to meet the guides which can put you at ease. Again an amazing adventure .
