Upper Animas Elation

A wonderful experience start to finish rafting the Upper Animas with Trey, Rob, and Alex. Appreciated the swim and rapid tests the night before and made even better during River Days - shorelines of heckling locals cheering and taunting our boat as we ran the course. Taking the Silverton Railway up river was a magical and unique way to start and end a rafting trip! Rob was encouraging, fun, knowledgeable, and a talented water reader. Our boat of three guests with him had an absolute blast while running rapids and taking in the stunning mountains and forests. A truly memorable weekend and 1000% recommend Mild to Wild and their team.

First rafting on a small river was wonderful

We have done whitewater rafting on bigger rivers. This experience was very different in positive sense. Our family of 6 (4 teens) had a wonderful time. We split into 2 rafts. Hayden was wonderful overall for the girls and really bonded with one of my daughters. Dylan was the guide for the boys raft and he also was great. We were on the water for over an hour, maybe 90 minutes, and we never stopped moving. Everyone got wet but not excessive. The scenery was also nice with lots of forest and red rock canyons. Our family had a great time.

Abby was awesome! She was fun and knowledgeable about the wildlife and landscape. She was very experienced which made for a smooth ride down the river. Would love to do a multi-day raft trip with Mild to Wild on our next visit.

Fantastic! Our guide Trey (Texan) is the best! Stories galore and is pretty good on the river too. We took a small float on lower Animas River today, what a hoot. The value and time spent on river was just right. I highly recommend this outfit.

Kaija was an awesome rafting guide. We did the mild ride and it was a little milder than I expected, due to low water levels, but it was still a fun family experience.

My family of 5 had an amazing, memorable experience with Mild to Wild rafting today! My 2 children ages 13 and 9, my parents who are in their late 60's and myself enjoyed beautiful 1/2 day trip on the lower Animas water lead by our very knowledgeable and skilled river guide Noah. When we arrived, there was a slight issue with our reservation, but management worked quickly to rectify the situation and to make sure we were able to enjoy our trip without interruption. I would highly recommend this trip and definitely request Noah of you can. He put my nervous kiddos at ease and had us laughing along the way. We can't wait to get out on the water again, next time we visit Durango, CO.

Wonderful Experience

The experience was great. Cat was very knowledgeable. We had a really great time as she gave the tour a real personal feel. I learned a lot from the general knowledge quiz.
