Crazy good staff and guides. From my initial call (ok... maybe three calls) and I might have called a lot of companies...to booking our excursion, the service was top notch. They were able to answer all our questions and along with their feedback and guidance, decided to book the duckies (kayaks) 😁. Once we got there, stellar service abounded. Quick check in and smooth transition to the river. Our "mother duck" guide was Jason and he was incredible. Informative, great guidance on the river and such an enthusiastic supporter... especially when you manage to get off the rocks 2x and manage to right yourself and not go overboard...yes that was me. But man, the adrenaline high when you put into play his directions and navigate the more technical sections successfully..."chef's kiss" all the way. We look forward to longer trips on the Animus and possibly different rivers with Mild to Wild... so glad we went with them. P.S. Jason's the man! No photos .. too busy kayaking.

Excellent 1/2 day rafting experience down the lower Animas River in Durango, Co. Embry, our guide was professional and very informative. He has a most pleasant way of dealing with customers and I commend him for that. Highly recommend this trip.

Jaden is a terrific guide! Very informative with a lot of local knowledge. Restaurant tips were a plus and spot on as we’ve been back twice to one of his favorites.

We had a big group with a wide range of ages (5-63) and everyone had a great time. Our group split into two rafts because we had so many and our raft had Marcus as a guide. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He did a really good job reassuring and talking through the adventure with my 5 year old who was a little nervous and also inspired my 7 year old to become a raft guide when she grows up 🙃.

Elise was absolutely incredible!! We had the BEST time—100% worth doing the full-day trip! Everything was comfortable from start to finish, lunch hit the spot, and yes, the wetsuit in June is a total game-changer. It was such a blast! We always wanted to see the cliff dwellings. The tour was quite comprehensive and went very smoothly. Art did a great job!!

Great white water rafting for beginners and families!
I went with my 2 teenagers for our first time on a raft! It was great! Relatively mild, class 1 and 2 rapids, with just enough thrill! Our guide was Wolfe, and he was really great! Friendly, experienced, very capable. We had opportunities to get out of the boat and swim and the scenery was amazing! Do be prepared for a lot of waiting. Your half day of boating is really only about 1.5 hrs on the water. The rest is waiting for all the people who show up super late, tons of little kids who have to go to the bathroom, safety instructions, explanations on how to hold a paddle, and a long bus ride to the put-in spot. I think their website needs to be clear about how little time is on the water in case you would rather book a full day. That being said, we had a great time and it was a good experience for our first time rafting!

First time White Water Rafting - Highly Recommend!
Mild to Wild provided a great first time white water rafting experience! They started off with a thorough safety presentation that made me feel comfortable going on the water. Our raft guide, Kayla, did a great demonstration and provided great instructions for how to paddle and best stay in the boat. The river conditions were perfect that day, and even though the water was freezing cold, it was so much fun! There we both calm rapids and rapids with larger dips that kept the mild trip exciting. Kayla kept the energy high in our boat and everyone had an amazing time. I would recommend this trip to everyone who is thinking about rafting for the first time!
