Excellent, very informative guide
Product: Skip-the-Line Versailles Palace Tour by Train from Paris
A nice tour.
It IS a skip the line tour. It lasts for 2h30 mins. You meet at the entrance of the Versaille Chateau where there is a statue of louis XIV on a horse. It’s not the best guided tour I have had but would still recommend it. The guide does give some interesting titbits here n there. The Chateau and garden’s entry is included. For the Trianons and the Queen’s Hamlet you have to buy a separate ticket, I think €12 each. My suggestion is that you take the first tour of the day so that you have enough time to explore the gardens, the park and the Trianons. Hiring a golf cart (available for about €40 per hour) is not a bad idea as there is so much ground to cover. We didn’t hire it so we spent total 8 hours there, walked 22,000 steps and could see the main places. I am sure there is more and a golf cart can help you explore better. In summers you might like to carry an umbrella to shield yourself from the sun which can get very strong.

It was very disappointing. The tour Guide practically ran through the museum. We ran past things and we’re not able to stop to look at any of the artifacts. She moved way too fast and talked way too slow. I only wish we would’ve known, we would’ve just bought regular tickets and done the audio tour where we could stop and look at all the artifacts. She stopped at specific places by paintings and told the story. But ignored 90% of the swords ammunition, guns outfits. So many interesting things that we missed. Trying to keep up with her with a task. Very dissatisfied.

Great Experience, Worth the Time and Money
I joined the Versailles full-Day Tour with the Estate of Marie-Antoinette as a solo traveler and had a wonderful time. Barrett did a great job of herding our group on the train and handing us off to Umberto, who led the tour. As expected, the interior of the palace was packed, but Umberto managed to position himself so we could hear his stories about the royals and their challenges. I definitely recommend this trip!

Best Guide
Our guide gave us an excellent overview of the history of the arts in the 17th-19th centuries, accented by representative pieces and the roles their artists played in the impressionist movement. Her passion for the subject was clear. This was the best tour of several that we've attended on this trip.
