A Great Way To Discover Old Town Sarajevo
We had a lovely couple of hours walking around the old town with Armina/Arna. She speaks English perfectly, has great knowledge of Bosnian history and truely loves her beautiful city. She has sad stories, she has happy stories and she knows how to tell them. I recommend this tour from the bottom of my heart.

Knowledgeable guide and interesting stories to better understand the history of the city
The guide was very knowledgeable around the context of the Siege of his city and had many personnal or second hand stories to tell during the whole tour. Je showed us several locations by car and we also took a short stroll around the Bobsleigh installations of the 1984 winter Olympics. Great tour !

I spend an amazing day on this trip to eastern bosnia/west serbia. My guide Emin H was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I learnt a lot from him about Bosnia and it's traumatic and inspiring history. The countryside is stunning and we stopped off at some fascinating places. I just loved the whole trip. Emin kindly agreed to drop me off at the airport but he made time to go back to Sarajevo to watch the sunset from the yellow fortress, whilst drinking coffee in the cafe there. What a perfect end to the trip, I will never forget it. Afterwards Emin drove me to the airport in good time for my flight. Thank you Emin for sharing your beautiful country and city with me. Finally must give a shout-out to the rest of the Meet Bosnia team too for their prompt replies to every email I sent. An excellent company indeed.

I had a wonderful private day tour to East Bosnia/West Serbia which i will remember forever. My guide, Emin H was kind, informative and helpful - i cannot praise him enough - such a lovely young man and a fabulous guide. i learnt so much about Bosnia from him, We ended up back in Sarajevo, drinking coffee and watching the sun set before he dropped me off at the airport in good time for my flight. What a perfect day! I am hoping to come back some day soon to do the Mostar trip. Thank you Emin, for sharing your beautiful city and country with me.

Fascinating Insight into Contemporary Bosnia
This was such an interesting tour, spent largely off the typical tourist trail and we couldn't have asked for a better guide in Senad. Our trip to the sand pyramids was interesting: not only were they beautiful, and the trip to them was through stunning mountains and farms, but it also took us through a Chinese-owned coal mine - this development in the country's economy was interesting to see. Nearby Foča was once an important town within the Ottoman Empire, and we saw how the town had changed down the centuries, with its rich history. It once housed an early Ottoman-built mosque, which was completely destroyed during the war of the 1990s; we saw its replacement. We walked around the town and our guide pointed things out to us that we would never have understood: the significance of graffiti, the abundance of VW Golfs, ribbons around trees. It was fascinating to get a glimpse into life in the post-war Republika Srpska; so different to what we'd seen elsewhere. After lunch (in a restaurant favoured by Tito), we went on to Goražde. Again, fascinating. We heard how the city suffered so terribly under siege and saw how resilient and creative the people were in surviving (though many sadly didn't). It's a vibrant, bustling town, very different in feel to Foča just down the road. I can honestly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will learn about the horrors of the 1990s war in the eastern and more rural parts of the country, how the country was divided post-war and the contrast in life for people in both areas. Having such a wonderful guide was so important in helping us understand what we were seeing. This isn't a typical sight-seeing tour, but if want to learn more about how people live, then this is the tour for you. We are so pleased we did it and we will never forget it; it has given us such a better understanding of the social-political challenges within the Balkans.
