Wow, the Captain and Crew went above and beyond to accommodate my Colombian in-laws and me and my wife. The Captain offered a ton of knowledgeable information regarding the whales and other additional features of the sea. The crew was very polite and courteous. I would suggest this snorkeling/snuba tour to all who want to be well taken care of. Awesome!!! Aloha to the crew of Lani Kai!!! Larry & Luz

I loved going underwater and seeing all the beautiful fish and rocks and animals. It is like another world I can be in but have to have speacial gear to use.

Had a great time on the boat. My son enjoyed and learned from his snorkeling experience and enjoyed seeing the sea creatures in their natural habitat. The food was delicious and the crew was superb. Kera was a doll as were the rest. Watching the whales and the pasta salad has assured our return. Thanks for a great time.

Our family took the Lani Kai out to Molokini for snorkeling in the middle of February 2021. We had a great time- the staff was wonderful, the food was great (breakfast pastries and coffee, sandwiches and pasta salad for lunch and plenty of drinks). When we went there were dozens of whales and dolphins swam with our boat. We saw lots of fish and turtles snorkeling, and my kids loved the inflatable slide that went off the top deck of the boat. Highly recommend this experience!

Very friendly crew. Stopped at fun spots for snorkeling, though they didn't stay at each spot for very much time. The snorkel gear was not the best quality, but workable.

Booked a cruise for 5 hours from 7-12. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not great. But probably as advertised: muffins, fruit out of a plastic container, store bought bagel. First stop was snorkeling and it felt alittle rushed especially considering how far we travelled. We were among maybe 7 other cruise boats and snorkeling water was clear. Second stop was almost an hour away and close to shore in an area called "Turtle town" but the captain said pretty much any area along the coast could be considered turtle town. We didn't see turtles but I guess two people saw a few so they were out there. Otherwise fish and reef was kinda dead. Lunch was underwhelming just plastic wrapped sandwiches and tupperware pasta salad. Whale watching was a let down but probably not the fault of the crew just a quiet morning for whale watching. We left the boat with a cookie but the not worth handing out. Two disappointing things were the slide wasn't used due to wind (again maybe not the crews fault it was really windy) and on the website it says drinks included but for some reason they don't have their liquor permits so it was a little bit of a let down even though when looking back on the site they did mention at the bottom that it was BYOB. I just don't know why if they could add that disclaimer they would leave the original description the same. Overall it was a fine trip just not great.

The crew and boat were excellent and very patient and understanding. However the snorkeling and scuba diving was not that exciting as there was not an assortment of sea life to see, not their fault can't control the sea life, slightly disappointed but had fun.

Well Done! Captain Marc and his crew are top notch! 6 adults - 6 great experiences! Their snorkeling equipment and wet suits were all in great condition and of high quality. All-in-all - a really fun way to spend the day!

What a great day out on the ocean! Maui Snorkeling has an amazing staff that is so courteous and professional and really made our trip special. The trip left right on time and throughout the day the staff made sure my family was comfortable and enjoying our time on the water. I highly recommend Maui Snorkeling if your in Maui and want to go on an amazing snorkel trip!

Terrific crew and boat; all equipment is in great, clean condition. Captain Marc has been doing this for a long time and went to great lengths to ensure everyone had a fun and safe experience. I am a slightly nervous snorkeler, but I felt confident with this company and would recommend them without hesitation. We went to 2 separate locations both were full of turtles and aquatic life. I cannot add much that hasn't already been said. I will definitely be coming back to snorkel again with them the next trip to HI. It was an amazing experience.

UPDATE: The tour manager responded to my review with a responded o a few questions he wanted to . In all of the emails that they posted the language mentions getting to the marina 30 minutes in advance to allow for parking. It also says that check-ins start at 6:30. Nowhere does it say that check-ins have to be completed by 6:30 or 6:45 or whatever else. Ryan, kept saying over and over that "we have to run this like an airline. You have to be here early." This analogy doesn't hold up under scrutiny. If you really were running this like an airline you would communicate travelers with a suggested time to show up at the airport/marina, a separate later time to start boarding, and an end of loading time. Your company fails Ryan's analogy. . Ray, you ignored many of my concerns on Tripadvisor To make it easy, Ray, I've listed them all here: 1. Ryan said that you operate like an airplane departure (he said this multiple times). **Ray, if that's the case, why don't you follow through with airplane protocol and list arrival to the marina time, the boarding starts, and boarding closes time? 2. Ray, you have now dodged the my review regarding how much I was lied to today. Let's go over the different instances and then maybe you'll have the backbone to answer me why they were all lying to me: During the course of talking with Ryan about the capacity on the boat he kept conflicting himself. First he would say that there are empty seats on the boat for us. But then he would say that another couple took our seats. He did this over and over again. **Ray, why did Ryan flip-flop his story multiple times turning himself into a serial liar? 2.We arrived at the slip at 7:00 or 7:01. When Ryan spoke to the captain he told the captain that we arrived at 7:05. This was a blatant lie to the captain. A lie that I think he was telling because he thought the captain might posses some ethics and tell us to come aboard if we were at most 1 minute late. But, because he had oversold the boat, he desperately needed someone to be denied boarding or he would be in a world of hurt trying to explain to someone why they would have to get off the boat. **Ray, do you see how Ryan was motivated to keep us off the boat since the boat was overbooked? **Ray, can you talk with Ryan and find out why he lied to the captain and said we were much later than we actually were? 3. When we asked who was in charge of making the final decision if we could go Ryan pointed to the captain. The captain pointed to Ryan and you, Ray, pointed to yourself. **Ray, which two were doing the lying? And please explain to me why they were lying to me. 4. While discussing with Ryan he said, “We have a policy that if guests arrive later than 6:45 a.m. they will be denied boarding.” But he later denied saying that when he heard me telling you that he had said this. **Ray, why did Ryan create this arbitrary policy and then quickly deny it? ORIGINAL REVIEW We had a terrible non-experience with this company today. The email they send prior to the tour states that you need to arrive at the marina 30 minutes early “for parking and check-in.” We arrived close to 30 minutes early and walked towards brown building which they said was right next to the slip. Well, it turns out there are two brown buildings and we quickly realized we were next to the wrong brown building. With a few young kids it took us some time to get over to the boat. We got to the slip right at 7:00. The boat was in the slip and the crew hadn’t yet started the safety brief. The guy checking people in, Ryan, looked shocked and confused at what to do. During the course of our conversation with him he was caught in no fewer than three lies. The captain also lied to us. They were willing to saying anything, true or false, to make an excuse for why they couldn’t take us for the tour we paid over $1,100 for. It turns out, they had overbooked the tour and that’s why they couldn’t accommodate us. Book somewhere else the people are ru. They’re dishonest, and shifty with terrible customer service

First time doing a snorkeling trip with the benefit of being whale season with this operation....they were all simply amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, so much fun, interacting constantly with all the passengers. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy what they do. Will definitely use them again.

My Husband I went to Maui in November and booked a snorkeling trip on Lanai Kai II. The boat was brand new, but the crew was not. They were all very knowledgeable and friendly, especially the Captain! We had a great time and I would highly recommend this company! We are going back to Maui in February and will definitely be taking this trip with them again!
