We took the afternoon tour, and diverted out to Molokini due to chop reducing the visibility at Coral Gardens. The crew was polite and helpful, and we had a great time with the crater pretty much to our selves (second boat showed up half way through, but stayed at the other end). Would recommend them as a fun time out. The kids had a blast.

Great trip. Will do it again. Nice, helpful people. They even loaned us masks to help correct our vision! Bring $10 cash to rent a wetsuit. You'll be glad you did.

We did a private charter with Maui Snorkeling. Amazing! The boat was great, the staff was great, the food was great, the snorkeling was great! we had a range of people from small children to 60 years old and everyone had fun! The water slide was a huge hit by all. If you're considering a snorkel trip use Maui Snorkeling, you won't be disappointed!!

This was by far one of the best snorkeling tours I have ever been on. I've been on numerous on many different islands, but the difference between those and Maui Snorkeling is the crew's dedication to going above and beyond for us to have an amazing experience. When the captain spotted dolphins or whales, he would slow the boat down and turn the boat so all guests were able to see. He went out of his way to do this. We had dolphins swimming right with us under the boat! The two sites we visited had beautiful reef and marine life. My husband, three children and I loved seeing all the colorful fish and turtles! We highly recommend this tour and will definitely book again when we return!

We had a great experience with this operator + crew. Really nice boat with a comfortable seat for everyone even at full capacity, great snorkeling experience at coral gardens, and heroic crew efforts for everyone to have a good time safely. Pirouetting whales at the end were also acceptable.

Awesome day snorkeling with Captain Reilly and Captain Mark. Saw several whales and an abundance of fish at Coral Gardens. Breakfast and lunch where terrific. This was my 4th trip on the Lani Kai. It’s always been a wonderful experience!

We (family of 4 with two young kids) had a great time with the crew of Lani Kai! They were super accommodating, very attentive and extremely patient; even after both kids lost their masks and snorkels. They took us to two absolutely beautiful spots to snorkel! The trip was professionally run and we had a fantastic time! I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

My daughter and I had fun on this trip and as this was our second time, we were happy that THIS time we got to go to Molokini and that the slide was deployed and we were able to go on the slide, this was a great disappointment on our last trip. We have been on many boats however we were most disappointed in the crew as they were not friendly or talkative at all. On other boats, the crew always makes a point to go around and talk to people, find out where they are from, etc. just in general, make conversation and be friendly. This crew, was more huddled together and on their cell phones during the times they did not hand out food to passengers. The times they could have taken advantage to being friendly to passsengers they opted to talk among themselves and be on their phones. It was not a great Aloha experience like I am used to having on the local boats. I would still recommend it but don’t expect friendly crew to help you have a good time, make your own good time.

It was an amazing experience. An added bonus was the number of humpback whales we encountered. The snorkel spot was great and super clear water. The crew was great and the captain was very knowledgeable of the area. We will be back for sure.

A couple of friends and I recently booked a trip on the Lani Kai with Maui Snorkeling. It was a three hour afternoon trip promising whale watching, and then snorkeling at the Coral Gardens snorkel site. They did not disappoint! We were looking primarily to snorkel at the Coral Gardens, but the Captain of the boat (Marc) almost immediately put us on a large group of active whales which turned out to be several males following and competing for a female. This was an outstanding sighting, with lots of interesting whale activity and behavior, and more whales than I’ve ever seen in a group during my trips to Maui. Captain Marc stayed with the group at an appropriate and respectful distance (which I appreciated) allowing plenty of time for whale watching. This wasn’t the part of the trip I was looking forward to, but it turned out to be outstanding. Afterwards we still had plenty of time for snorkeling at the Coral Gardens. The entire crew of the Lani Kai were professional, friendly, attentive, and helpful. The deli meal served on the boat was good and satisfied my appetite at the end of snorkeling. The boat ride was exceptional (it was a good weather day), and I enjoyed the exhilaration of sitting out at the bow of the boat. I really liked Captain Marc’s safety orientation and trip briefing before heading out. His informational updates during the trip, and his knowledge of whale behavior was an added bonus. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and I recommend the trip highly.

My only regret is that we didn't book the longer tour. The boat was great and the crew was very friendly. They were very knowledgeable about where they took us and what we were seeing. They provided lunch and were even able to accommodate my wife, who is celiac, with a gluten free meal. The water slide was also super fun.
