Amazing day out on the water with the crew from Makena Charters. The crew of three was professional, courteous and all about safety. Each of them was very well versed in Hawaiian history and knowledge of the island, making the trip even that more enjoyable. My husband and I would definitely recommend this excursion.

Manaka Charters is the best choice for Napoli Coast tours. The Amelia Catamaran is fast, comfortable and can handle the big terrifying waves. Captain Manaka is an excellent pilot. The crew spotted many dolphins and whales! 🐋 🐳 It was both scary and exhilarating with lots of information on Hawaii history and ecology

Excellent tour! Fantastic captain and crew. Saw spinner dolphins, whales, waterfalls, and the gorgeous coast! Highlight of our trip! Boat was comfortable (not too crazy bumpy). Appreciated soda/water and good sandwich/chips. Cookie afterward would have been icing on the cake! 😉Well done!

💯💯💯💯An absolute must if visiting Kaua’i. There are a handful of companies to choose from for boat tours, but we went with Makana Charters as it is a local, family company and we are so happy we did. This experience was beyond incredible! Truly once in a lifetime. The Amelia K boat was a clean, comfortable, relaxing, super smooth ride. Amble refreshments and nice, light lunch and snacks. Captain Mike was friendly, kind, and a reflection of the beautiful hawaiian culture. He was intentional about the history he shared and views he chose to focus on. He went out of his way to ensure we saw whales and dolphins. Our safety was his number 1 priority. This tour exceeded all our expectations, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure with a crew (shout out to Ethan and Charlie!) who is beyond compare. Thank you for making our trip one to remember for a lifetime!

The crew was fun and friendly and very sweet with my 2 kids (7,9). We saw humpbacks, bottle nose and spinner dolphins and had a lovely Napali coast tour. When we encountered the bottlenose dolphins, they even brought my kids to the front of the boat and let them hang their feet over the side, so the dolphins were swimming under their feet. It was a cool memory for me and the kids for sure.A must do. You will not regret it.

Our Na Pali coast boat tour with Makana Charters was fantastic! Highly recommend. Communication was great, we departed on time, lots of cultural information was shared, we did see lots of whales (!), and the coast was magnificent. We were able to go into some lava tubes. It helped that the weather was perfect. Amelia K was a terrific vessel: custom built Cat and very stable. Crew was great. Book early in your visit in case the tour is rescheduled due to bad weather.

The sunset tour of the Nepali Coast was the highlight of our trip to the Hawaiin Islands. The breathtaking scenery combined with the friendly and very knowledgeable crew, created memories we will never forget. To top that off we saw whales and dolphins and a lovely sunset. Makana Tours - on the Amelia K - do not miss it!!

We went on the Seiko for a private tour and it was absolutely incredible; a perfect day, 10/10! Captain Makana is hands down the best boat captain I’ve ever had. His skills navigating into the sea caves were truly impressive and made the experience unforgettable. He and Tony, his crew member were both incredibly friendly, gentle, and full of humor, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see dolphins and whales, which was absolutely magical. The snorkeling was nice, but the real highlight was the breathtaking scenery … the views were simply stunning from start to finish. This is an absolute must-do in Kauai. I can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you for such an incredible and memorable day!

Makana Charters is Amazing Our captain and crew were amazing! The Na Pali Coast was breathtaking! The Amelia K was so smooth. We saw bottlenose and spinner dolphins and humpback whales! There was a ray before we even left, but I missed it. I’ll take their word for it! So much amazing history about that whole area! If you want to see the Na Pali Coast up close and personal, you can’t go wrong with Makana Charters!

Hi, We highly recommend the Charters tour on Kauai. Don’t miss this opportunity. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the crew, Captain Mike, Charlie and Ethan. Mike captainship was amazing and very professional. Mike & Ethan grew up on the island which added a great deal of flavor to the tour.

The captain and crew did everything to make a memorable experience. We saw more animals than we did paying for a whale watching tour. Comfortable vessel, the sights were amazing. Safe fun easy voyage.

We had an awesome time on the 5 hour tour. We were able to see humpback whales spinner dolphins as well as the breath taking Na Pali Coast. The captain and his crew did an excellent job of giving us detailed information about sites along the coast. They also made sure that we were safe and had fun! They went above and beyond, for those people that were feeling a little seasick.

The experience was excellent. Both the guides were very knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. The tour is amazing with some breathtaking views. We were also able to swim in the calmer waters. I would definitely recommend Makana charters for this tour!!

This was by far the best part of our trip to Kauai. If I could I would give this amazing experience 10 stars. What I loved must was this is a local company and the owner took the time to share the history of this area and his own personal experiences growing up here. We saw dolphins, whales, and wild goats which made it even more special. But the views and the mountain range was the main show and WOW, we were blown away. What I appreciate must was how easy and safe it was and they took the time to help my mom who needs to use a walker to get around. The owner even carried my mom down from the boat to make sure she was safe. Lastly, the care the employees took to explain and talk with all of us was truly helpful and truly caring. The food was also super yummy. If you are looking for an amazing tour this is the place to book. Thank you, Karen and Kim Evans
