Amazing day on the water. Captain Mike and the crew were engaging, knowledgeable and funny. Captain Mike really knows his boat, excellent skills. Gorgeous views of the Na pali coast! Bonus interaction with spinner dolphins and seeing some humpback whales.

What a spectacular day! This adventure should not be missed. Captain Mike and his Mates Tony and Jasmine gave us an exciting adventure along the Nā Pali Coast. They shared history of the area as well as history of their own families with us. The absolutely beautiful coastline, along with a pod of hundreds of spinner dolphins and numerous waterfalls and sea caves, was awe inspiring. We stopped for lunch in a beautiful cove and many were able to snorkel among the variety of colorful fish. If you want to be wowed by the beauty of Hawaii, this is the adventure to take.

Slightly rough seas but very safe, fun, and saw so many whales! One male used tail to attract his girl, several full breaches, a few turtles, very attentive staff! Will go back!

Wonderful crew and a nice size boat with comfortable seating and great views for all! Even in rougher water the captain maneuvered the boat very well- Ethan Lillaya, and Shaun were a fun and knowledgeable crew❤️😎they made it even more fun. Fun ride, fantastic scenery, saw whales, snorkeled, peeked into some sea caves and had a good lunch! Pick the Amelia K for the boat and Ethan, Lillaya, and Shaun for the crew and you won’t be disappointed!!!

Great crew great sites! Dolphins, whales, caves and waterfall. Did not realize it included snorkeling which we had no interest in so did not enjoy sitting in one spot for an hour but I would do again and just would make sure I did one that did not include snorkeling.

(Original) Ich habe die fünfstündige Tour am Vormittag auf der Na Pali Kai III gemacht und war absolut begeistert. Die Jungs haben wirklich alles gegeben, dass alle sich wohlfühlen und eine gute Zeit haben. Sie waren sehr aufmerksam und haben sich auch direkt gekümmert, als jemand seekrank wurde. Natürlich ging es vor allem um die atemberaubende Kulisse der Napaliküste. Zusätzlich haben wir aber auch zahlreiche Delfine und sogar einige Buckelwale gesehen. Wir sind an zwei Meereshöhlen heran gefahren, in eine sind wir sogar hineingefahren. Auf dem Rückweg gab es zudem die Möglichkeit zum schnorcheln - Ausrüstung dafür war auf dem Boot verfügbar. Wenn man die Tour macht, muss man damit rechnen, dass es teilweise starke Wellen gibt und man sich ein bisschen fühlt, wie in der Achterbahn. Aber ich habe mich die ganze Zeit sicher gefühlt und hatte zu jeder Zeit das Gefühl, das unser Kapitän wusste was er macht. Alles in allem wirklich eine einmalige Erfahrung, die ich jedem empfehlen würde! Vielen Dank nochmal an die Crew!!

Makana Charters was the perfect boat tour of the Napali Coast for our family. In our party we had two people who were prone to seasickness, and at the suggestion of the Charter Staff (we called ahead), we went out on the Amalia K, which is a larger boat, and further, is closer to the Napali Coast so you spend a little less time getting there by starting at a point closer to the Napali Coast. No seasickness in sight for our group, and of the 34 people on the boat, there were only a two people who got seasick and it was a very choppy waters kind of a day, Additionally, I asked Makana Charters Staff about the appropriate boat for a more elderly person who walks with a cane, and they also suggested a larger boat, and thankfully, it was an easy boat to walk onto, the port location was very walkable from the vans that help you access the port, and all of this made my 80 year old dad extremely comfortable. We all enjoyed the tour very much. We especially appreciated the knowledge of Charlie, a Marine Biologist, who was an excellent field guide, and our amazing captain got us super close to the sea caves, so close we were in fact inside the sea caves in some cases along the coast. His driving was heroic! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the island coast!

FANTASTIC boat tour! Mike, Jasmine, and Tony were fun, informative, adventurous, and kind. We saw breaching whales and SO many spinner dolphins. The scenery was breathtaking, and the boat did a great job navigating the rough waters. This was the highlight of our entire Hawaii trip. The only reason I put 4/5 stars is because this was advertised as a 5 hour tour with sunset, which is misleading. We left at 2pm and were back by 6pm, so there was no sunset on the boat, and it was only a 4 hour tour. Would still highly recommend and give the experience itself 6 stars!!

I'm so glad I took the Napali Coast trip! Not only was the coastline incredibly beautiful including it's caves and waterfalls, we saw so much more. Three humpback whales, two sea turtles, hundreds of dolphins, beautiful colorful fish, and rainbows. Captain Mike and his crew were top notch! I would recommend this to anyone.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we were dropped by our cars was communicative, happy, and comfortable. Crew communicated exceptionally well and made me feel I was in good hands as we made our way around the coast. We saw dolphins and whales. Stopped to have a sandwich on the ocean and came back in. I definitely recommend these guys. They were awesome. Would do it again and again. Thank you for making my trip amazing!
