Amazing experience with Makana charters. We did the NaPali coast boat tour and absolutely loved it. Excellent customer service and the 3 crew members Mike Tony and Jazzy were all wonderful! Would absolutely use them again.

We did the Na Pali Kai III tour and it was amazing. The crew was fantastic, they interacted with the passengers, made sure everyone was having a great experience, and shared many interesting and memorable sights and stories. We even saw dolphins (in the afternoon). It’s been a highlight for our trip to Kauai. I’d highly recommend this trip. Mahalo!!!

We had Sean (or Shawn) as our captain and Charlie as our deckhand, and they were both fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the Nā Pali Coast’s history, culture, and local traditions, which made the experience even more meaningful. Exploring the sea caves by boat is something you rarely get the chance to do, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Watching Sean skillfully back the boat into caves with only inches to spare was an unforgettable experience in itself. We also had the opportunity to cool off under the refreshing waterfalls, which was a lot of fun and added to the adventure. The snorkeling was amazing as well. The location was beautiful, with plenty of marine life and lots to see and experience. We chose Makana Charters because they are a locally owned and operated company, and we loved supporting a local business. We especially appreciated the small group size on the Seiko 2. It never felt crowded, there was plenty of room to spread out, and everyone had a chance to enjoy riding at the front of the boat if they wanted. Overall, it was a priceless day and truly a once in a lifetime experience. The memories we made will stay with us forever. Highly recommend Makana Charters!

This tour was the highlight of our Kauai trip! This is a Hawaiian owned company and their knowledge and love of the Napoli coast shines through every moment of this tour. The captain and crew went above and beyond to make every passenger’s experience memorable. We saw so many dolphins, beautiful water falls, and amazing sea caves. We got to snorkel and jump off the top of the boat into the ocean. I could not recommend this enough!!

Capt. Rob and crew member Leroy were the best. They made the trip up the Napali Coast so fun and from the beginning of the trip to the end their main priority was family and make sure the littles were safe and having fun. I would recommend Makana Charters to everyone.

Our boat tour was amazing! Our captain, Aa and Charlie were super friendly and made the trip enjoyable and so much fun! They were able to answer questions and provide us with interesting facts. We got to see incredible views! The website was easy to navigate (they easily added a person to our reservation after the initial booking), waivers were sent in advance and lunch was delicious (especially the gluten free option). I can't express enough how special of a day this was on the itinerary. Makana Charters made me feel safe and so secure on this unforgettable adventure. I loved that they all had uplifting, personable and funny personalities to make you feel at ease. The captain gave great history insights about the different areas we saw; we got to see dolphins jump and spin, mountain goats, caves, waterfalls, and jumped in the water during lunch! Even in moments where I was challenged to leave my comfort zone, such as choppy waters or moving closer to the caves, they really did a fantastic job reassuring everyone that they would never leave their comfort zone and are experts at knowing what is too risky. There is a speaker that plays music too, so on the way back to the harbor, we all sang along to classics during sunset. It was a beautiful memory and thanks to them, it was one of the best parts of the vacation. Keep a positive attitude while you're out there and remember you are seeing something that is out of this world beautiful! These views are something they make in movies and is surreal to process while you're there, so make the most of it and know you're in great hands.
