Excellent Tour, highly recommend. Guides were so personable and knowledgeable. Boat and equipment were clean. Didn't feel rushed at all. Had amazing dolphin experiences on the way out and back. Snorkeling provided some fish and turtle viewing. This tour won't disappoint!

The staff was very nice and helpful. We did not get to snorkel which was a real disappointment. We also were not prepared for how rough the ride would be. We took dramamine the night before and the hour before and we were still queasy. I think there needs to be an emphasis on this. I also feel like they really scare you into getting there on time, saying they will leave without you if you are late with absolutely no refunds. They left an hour later than the scheduled time. We were stressed and rushed all morning for nothing and lost time in the afternoon that we planned on something else. The coast line is beautiful and worth seeing.

Excellent tour of the NaPali coastline. Makana was the Captain and couldn’t have asked for a more experienced guide. Into the caves with waves crashing around, it was amazing. Lily and Lionel assisted and made sure all guest were pampered and informed of the historic areas we visited. Mahalo Nui loa!!

We enjoyed this sunset cruise. The captain was very knowledgeable, sharing facts and stories along the way. The crew mates were fun and so friendly. We had a bottle nose dolphin grace us with an appearance too. Great time, would definitely recommend and the coast line is absolutely beautiful!

From booking to the reservation's end, Makana Charters provided an absolutely amazing experience! They lived up to their amazing awards, and I am so grateful to have come across them. When booking our family trip to Kauai, we new we wanted to take our daughter on a tour of the Na Pali Coast for her 8th birthday. My husband and I previously toured with Na Pali Riders (who we loved!) but since she was too young and it was her first boat ride, we wanted to set her up for success. We found out there were bathrooms on the boat, lunch was provided, and we would get off for a snorkel or to swim in the ocean, and we were sold. Being the person I am (a former reporter), I always have lots of questions. I texted them before booking and before the reservation with lots of questions, which they responded to within five minutes. Top tier customer service to say the least. The day of, we were able to find the facility, there was ample time for what we anticipated and, most importantly, my daughter's birthday wish came true of seeing dolphins. They even let the kids ride up front as they swam by. It was majestic, to say the least. Additionally, we saw a monk seal and a couple of turtles throughout the day, and the water was relatively calm. I was bummed we weren't able to snorkel due to the murky water, but they did stop in the ocean for a lunch/swim break. Additionally, those who were brave enough had the chance to jump off the roof of the boat. Because it was my daughter's first boat experience, after we stopped she got quite sick. The staff was INCREDIBLY ATTENTIVE to making her as comfortable as possible. Pouring cold water on her neck, ice cubes under her feet, you name it. Sometimes it's truly the little things that make a huge difference. To say the team went above and beyond is an understatement, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with Makana Charters in the future. My one minor complaint is that we didn't get to go all the way in the sea caves like you can with a smaller boat like at Na Pali Riders but for kiddos first experiences, it was truly perfect. Thank you Bri, Uncle Tony, and the amazing captain for an unbelievable experience! Recommended, a million times over.

We had a great time with Makana Charters. We enjoyed the tour and appreciated learning about the history and cultural significance of the places we visited. Conditions did not permit snorkeling (October is considered beginning of their winter season and the waves were too rough in the usual snorkeling spots). But we enjoyed a quick swim and lunch in a calm area. The staff was knowledgeable and always kept us safe. Captain Mike treated us like family so we felt super comfortable in his hands. Overall, would highly recommend this experience! If snorkeling is your selling point would recommend this experience during spring/summer months when conditions are more favorable.

Amazing tour with Lionel and Ree! Breathtaking views...dolphins, sea caves, waterfalls! Despite getting a bit seasick it was still worth every minute to witness the beauty! The crew was incredibly kind and accommodating. 100% recommend!!!

Truly an amazing day! Apart from the incredible views, Lionel, Liliana and Captain Rob were amazing! It was great being able to hear stories about the islands. Would highly recommend this tour!
