(Translated by Google) Taking photos with a teddy bear costs NT$25.00. A little extra care during the photo session will make the memories even better. The kangaroos are incredibly cute; they sleep lazily all day at midday, and children can stroke their fur and interact with them. A summer trip to the zoo is the best educational and fun-filled experience for all ages.

A reasonable day out for families

Lone Pine is an animal sanctuary close to Brisbane CBD, which means you can take a bus or if you desire a boat trip to catch the special ferry., or drive. The car park is large. The park is over several acres and displays Australian animals including birds and reptiles. There is a large cafe that offers average food and drinks. On the day we went there wasn’t much for a vegan diet although it was advertised. The entry price is reasonable for a family but it is disappointing that if you want to see the koalas and the barn animals for example up close an extra fee is charged. We can’t recommend the koala moment experience as 5 mins for $35 each child is very steep when all the children got to do was stand on a box and pat a sleeping koala. The shows were quite entertaining except for the sheepdog show which was very short and did not really show off a sheep dog’s skills very well. Although the children enjoyed the experience they were disappointed that the kangaroos were not interested in being fed.

We have bought season passes as seniors, taking our little grandson (2 yrs) on a monthly basis. He loves it. With the pass we also receive a discount on food and drinks, kangaroo food ($1 per bag) and purchases at the shop. Staff are friendly, access to animals and birds is great and we generally see a couple of the shows, fitting in around his sleep time. We've been so pleased to have this great little zoo in urban Brisbane.

This is the place to see kolas

We booked the Platinum Tour at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and without doubt it is one of the best experiences we have ever had, the information does not do the day justice, not only did we get behind the scenes we got into a number of enclosures with our guide. We booked this for the koalas but got so much more out of the tour, feeding kangaroos and tasmanian devils, creating treats for the birds, meeting reptiles and of course. One on one time with koala. Madi was our guide and eas phenomenal, she really looked after us and trally made the trip. I cannot thank Madi the keepers and the whole enough for making this one of the most unforgettable days we have ever had

Absolutely fantastic

We have been fortunate to view koala’s elsewhere in Australia, but this place was so superior. Many more koalas and other Australian wildlife and a fab opportunity to see these beautiful animals in close quarters. If you want to see a koala, visit Lone Pines. Simply fantastic and with knowledgeable and friendly staff too.

Excellent experience - well worth the visit!

Fun filled day for all ages where you get to see some fabulous Australian wildlife. There are many Koalas as you would expect, with plenty of photo opportunities throughout. Would also recommend paying $2 for Kangaroo feed as you get feed the Kangaroos by hand, which is very cool. All kangaroos are very gentle and used to be being around people. We were visiting for the day but would have no hesitation coming back in the future as it is an experience for all ages.
