Great to see the platypus as I have never seen one before, and the baby Koalas were a great surprise treat! The far end of the sanctuary contained a Taz Devil, but it seemed that many enclosures around that area were empty or housed nocturnal animals.

Going to Lone Pine is a pretty amazing experience in general! Loved being able to pet the kangaroos! Although, I think the sanctuary should be more clear in their booking experiences that koala holding is no longer allowed. This is what compelled me to go to Lone Pine in general and online it is pretty vague, when I got there I realized you’re only allowed to pet them. They say it’s because they wanted to give people more of an experience with the koala but it feels less of an experience to me. If that’s their true reasoning I think you should have a choice if you’d like to hold or just pet. Other than that I had a nice time and I thought the sanctuary was beautiful and the animals seemed happy.
