(Translated by Google) A very cute place with iguanas wandering here and there. It's clear that the keepers take excellent care of the animals, but it must be said that the enclosures are horribly small (the dingo one, for example). It's more of an attractive zoo than a sanctuary. We loved seeing the kangaroos and being able to feed them, but there are too many children running around, pawing at the kangaroos, and even adults trying to scare them... They're so used to human presence that they don't even react anymore. It's a good thing they have their little one, "Staff Only." It's a shame it's not more regulated. There should be as many people as possible in the enclosure, and children should stay close to their parents. There are definitely improvements to be made.

I don’t know why they are allowed to call themselves a sanctuary—this is a zoo! We expected a large area with koalas but were disappointed. Instead, we found small cages scattered throughout the zoo. One koala was alone, running around in his tiny enclosure, seemingly searching for an exit. The birds, bats, and dingoes were also kept in small cages. There was no information at all about where these animals had been “rescued” from. I felt very sorry for all these animals and would never recommend anyone visit this place. If you want to see these animals, please take the time to find them in national parks, where they can live in their natural habitat.

A very nice place to spend a half day while in Brisbane. Many koalas and kangaroos as well as few other Australian wild and domestic animals and birds with some life shows. Great for families with kids but also for any age animal enthusiasts. Easy access by public transportation from downtown Brisbane. There is a nice option to take a river cruise there and back. Unless you really want to touch a koala, special packages which include a short encounter are unnecessary. There are so many koalas that you can see up close there and only if you are eager to touch you need the special packages.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane is a must-visit for wildlife lovers! Home to over 100 koalas, it offers the rare chance to hand-feed kangaroos. It does not longer allows to hold them. You can spend hours looking at so many koalas, and in particular mommy koalas with baby koalas. It does not get more cute that that. Beyond that, you can see wombats, Tasmanian devils, a platypuse which seems to be in distress due to be in a small space, and birds of prey in action. Set along the Brisbane River, the sanctuary is well-maintained, easy to explore, and packed with engaging talks and demonstrations. Friendly staff, great facilities, and a scenic location make it a fantastic experience for all ages. Bring your own food or buy at lone pine. 2 bus routes can take you from Central Brisbane. Recommend to take a uber early morning and get canguro food right when they open. This allows to interact with them before it gets hot and they are full and do not want more food. Take the bus for free back to central Brisbane if do not have a ticket. You fee to get into Lone Pine is enough.

Very little to say apart from just an amazing, wonderful place. Sanctuary is very well thought out, animals clearly loved and the Koalas are so cute. Whilst all about the 'Koalas' the Roos, platypus, birds and shows/talks are very good too.

What a wonderful place. The Flying Raptor show was awesome. Lots of knowledge and excitement. The birds actually flew through the crowd. The handlers were full of knowledge. We even paid a little extra at the end of the show to hold the bird & take a picture. What a rare opportunity and totally worth it.

Come here if you want to see, touch, feed, selfie with Kangaroos. No special times or reservations. They have a large open encounters field with dozens and dozens of Kangaroos and other animals. I didn't see any write up about this so it was a pleasant surprise since all my daughter wanted to do was pet a kangaroo. They also have loads of Koalas at every turn and lots of other animals. Worth the cost of admission.

OK, good convenient location but they really sting you for pretty much everything including entry and food. Do not go in summer unless you work outdoors, you will die from the heat.

Animals were cute, however would've loved more information about where the animals come from and where the money we pay for entry goes to. $44 seems very steep for what you get. Its mainly long walks and sometimes animals. I got to see a platypus though which was exciting - although he was alone and his enclosure wasn't very big. I just hope the animals are well cared for and aren't just being held here for money.
