My two-year-old and I had a wonderful time at Legoland, especially visiting on Christmas Eve when it was pleasantly uncrowded. The opening exhibits feature an impressive level of detail, beautifully showcasing Chicago’s beloved landmarks. The upstairs area was the highlight of our visit, offering plenty to explore and enjoy. I also appreciated that the café carried select Starbucks options alongside food. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend visiting on a quieter day—we can’t wait to return.

Fun Legoland Discovery Center located in the American Dream Mall. About 5 or 6 cool activity areas, great for Lego lovers. Only one "ride" though, however, there is a cool NYC themed mini land area, and lots of building opportunities. Also has a free master builder class every 30-minutes or so, though you can't keep the build after you finish. Does have mini-fig trading, but very limited pop-badge earning opportunities. It's right next to the Sea-Life which is also fun for kids in additional to the Discovery Center.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE NOON YEARS EVE COUNTDOWN. We really do think there was a technical issue that all the workers denied because NOTHING HAPPENED. The mic was so muffled all we could hear was some guy saying that this is gonna be as big as the New York countdown and then absolutely nothing happened except a HOLLOW yellow thing from the ceiling slowly come down which was anything but a “ball drop” with no ball, no confetti, no music, no mascots , no dancing. no sounds, or music - just a bald guy standing there with a mic and a very confused photographer wondering why the hell she’s there and what she was supposed to take pictures of. It was absolutely bizarre. In the years prior, I was told there was music, balloons, the Lego action figure mascots come out and dance with the kids with balloons dropping from the ceiling and that they remove the barrier so that everybody can go closer to the tree and dance. All of the poor kids were so disappointed and slowly walked away. There were also nothing for the kids such as “party favours” advertised like the horn blow things for the kids or hats or anything. We each for a quarter cup of Pelegrino (even though Apple Cider was advertised). Everyone was just waiting for something to happen and nothing happened. We all had to ask each other if “that was it”. It was the absolute worst countdown I’ve ever ever seen. I wish they were just honest and told us that this was not as planned. We literally only bought tickets for the one hour for the countdown so this was an extreme waste of our money and time and effort. Also the one song we did hear prior to 11am; was “Get Busy” by Sean Paul which although I’m never a huge stickler for inappropriate songs, was COMPLETELY inappropriate for a bunch of kids listening to “ Sexy ladies” wanting to “par wid us” lol. Honestly, it was just a HOT MESS; mis managed, boring, disorganized, and lack lustre event with an anticlimactic “new years bash”. I’d really like a personal explanation from management after spending $100+ on such a horribly planned event and then being up charged for every single thing inside.

Attended the 12 PM Kids New Year’s Countdown Party and it was underwhelming. Not as advertised- Very little confetti, no sparkling apple cider no real New Year’s feel, and the space was small and overcrowded. Didn’t live up to expectations for a countdown event.

Actually worth the price. We spent two hours here. There’s a little play place pirate ship. 4D movies. We watched two shows. We enjoyed Ninjago the most! Laser beam challenge. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. They had a mini cafe. They have free classes every hour. We made a Lego snowflake! ❄️ if I go again, I’d go early and spend the day there. Oh, the train ride was actually fun. It reminded me of a childhood game where the projecter shot birds onto the wall and I’d shoot it. So fun!

Waited on the line for the ride at the entrance with our toddler for around 10 minutes. When it was our turn, the girl working the front turned us away saying they were doing maintenance. Came back later, as our kid really wanted to. We waited 15 minutes and when it was our turn, that girl once again turned us away due to the fire alarm. I told her that this was our second time waiting and getting turned away once it was our turn. She specifically promised me that we would not have to wait a third time and that she would let us go to the front of the line when we came back. When we came back, she was super rude and walked away from us when we asked to go to the front. When I confronted her again given her word to me, she told me to ask every customer if I can cut them. Obviously, I am not going to do that and she knew that, so we waited on line for a third time for about 10-15 minutes. And by the stroke of luck, we actually got to go on this time after wasting nearly an hour on line, RIDICULOUS. Moreover, the star thing on the ride was broken. What horrible customer service. Don’t bother going here, the workers hate their jobs and power trip that only ends up hurting our kids.
