Booked the Cliffs of Moher tour which was beautiful. Our driver John B enhanced the trip immensely adding his comments to help explain Irish culture and historical experience. Being our first time to Ireland this added so much value to the trip. Highly recommend their tours if they have drivers like John B involved!

Myself & my mam boarded the bus in Eyre Sq & immediately we were welcomed by Seamus, our driver/tour guide for the day. After an introduction, he explained the itinerary for the day & as we travelled out of the city through Connemara, he told us plenty of stories & facts about the area. My mam recalled one of his stories while we were visiting Galway Cathedral. I remembered Bar Oslo, as we subsequently bussed it out to Salt hill, famous for their beers. Kylemore Abbey was breathtaking. We opted to walk up to see the gardens & got the courtesy bus back to the entrance. When Seamus wasn't keeping us entertained with his stories, Irish music was piped through the speakers. My only complaint was that we didn't have enough time in Kylemore Abbey to do everything, the queue for the café/restaurant was massive so we opted to get snacks from the kiosk & look in the gift shop before boarding the bus. All in all, a good day, which we ended with a trip to Dough Bros 😋

Awesome experience, Shane was our guide for the day and he's truly knowledgeable. Visited the surroundings of Galway and he gave a lot of interesting infos about the city and country. 100% recommend

Visit Connemara! What a stunning landscape and what a charming human touch with Kylemore Abbey in the middle of it! Dion from Lally tours provided us a fine introduction to local history as we wound our way out of Galway and then peppered the rather long trip with further details of the social structure, economy and geography. Lots of good tips from the lad as he guided us through villages and the most efficient way to connect with the Abbey given our limited time. His thoughts formed a good structure from which one could build future trips into the region. My only gripe - too little time at the Abbey. However, a tour like this would have had to sacrifice any regional stops to get even 30 more minutes at the Abbey so I understand the decisions. All the more reason to return for more!

Went to Killemore Abbey with Seamus as a guide, great stuff! The scenery was fantastic and Seamus had a lot of knowledge and humour to make the trip worth so much more! If you're in Galway and you want to get out of the city for a day, this tour is great. The lamb stew was also amazing, recommend.

Great tour of the beautiful surrounding areas of Galway. Those river views were amazing and the dogs were a nice touch. Also loved the place we stopped at for lunch. Thank you Michael, our terrific tour guide!

Hi everybody, it's Silvia - Bologna - Italy. Today has been a great tour in Connemara with our bus driver Díon, indeed. 🙂 Amazing landscapes, lovely little villages, wilderness, lots of sheep, cows, goats, ponies...I do love seeing animals so free in their environment. Díon is so far the best bus driver/guide I've ever met: he tells the Irish history with passion, talks about the pride of being Irish (Gaelic!), shows us all the points of interest along the tour. My wife and I had an amazing day with Lally Tours on our visit to the Cliffs of Moher. As a small local business, they really deliver a personal experience — and our guide, John B., was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, and a skilled driver who made the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. John shared great stories and insights along the way, giving us a real sense of Ireland’s history and beauty. The Cliffs themselves were absolutely breathtaking — and one of our favorite moments was taking a photo together with the Atlantic stretching out behind us. We’re so glad we chose Lally Tours for this unforgettable experience. Highly recommend — especially if you get John B. as your guide!

La nostra guida/autista Seamus è stato simpaticissimo, durante il viaggio ci ha raccontato tantissime cose sul paesaggio, la vita, la storia d'Irlanda e le tradizioni. Ci siamo fermati per una breve sosta in un punto panoramico del Connemara, per poi arrivare alla Kylemore Abbey che merita certamente la visita, un luogo magnifico e affascinante. Al ritorno abbiamo fatto due soste,entrambe in luoghi belli e piacevoli,al lago e al mare, con la possibilità di prendere anche un cappuccino. We did a full-day tour with Barry and Jerry, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Barry provided thoughtful and engaging history throughout the day as Jerry drove us through some of the most beautiful parts of western Ireland. We started by driving through the Burren, where we learned about the unique topography and how both the land and British rule contributed to the potato famine and the mass migration of Irish people to the United States. From there, we sailed by the Cliffs of Moher, an incredible perspective you don’t get from land. We then ferried to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands. Barry shared the island’s rich history and gave us time to explore on our own. At one point, he even played a few Irish tunes on his mandolin, which made the day feel extra special. After a ferry ride back to the mainland, we drove through Connemara to end the tour. Barry was funny, enthusiastic, and everything you’d want in a guide. Jerry was precise and safe behind the wheel, handling the long day with ease. I highly recommend this tour, it’s a great way to see the region and really understand its history.
