It's good, lights are nice, got fun music, the party was cool. Little hard to navigate, but otherwise good. Parking is hell though.

Tried to get in the trading Post at 11:03. Am and got told to leave in a very rude fashion. Can not believe how I was treated . And my family especially. When it cost so much. To get in.

I always enjoy visiting the zoo! There is construction at times because they are improving some areas, but it pays off when you see the new section. There's plenty of carts for food, souvenirs, and there are fun things for the kids to do. The only thing that needs to get fixed is the parking situation--too many people, but not enough parking spaces. Other than that, plan well and you will definitely have a wonderful time!

Love the zoo! Have been going to the Houston zoo since the late 70s. It's always a fun experience and this year we have the membership so we are going to try to go 24 times. Maybe more. We shall see! Hope to see ya there!

The Houston zoo is a great place for kids and most animals have stimulating enclosures. The price is a touch high, but if you get a membership it pays for itself in two visits. You must go early to find parking.

Always a fun time with family & friends. (2018) 2026 Updated Review- We went back this past weekend after not visiting for a few years, and we had such a great time! The zoo has made some really nice improvements since our last visit. One of our favorite updates was the interactive map on the phone. The live map made it so easy to navigate, and being able to tap an exhibit or attraction and get step-by-step directions was incredibly helpful. It made getting around the zoo much less stressful and allowed us to spend more time enjoying the animals. After this visit, we’re seriously considering getting a membership because we know we’ll be back. If you haven’t been to the Houston Zoo yet - or if it’s been a while since your last visit - I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a fun experience for the whole family and definitely worth a visit!

This zoo is one of the best zoos I've been to as far as information, friendly staff, and great exhibits. They also have water bottle refill stations all around the zoo. Get there early to see feedings and meeting animals in person. Please respect the Zoos rules too. Flash photography can be harmful to some of the animals.
