Iconic Views at Sunset—Worth the Splurge
We visited the Empire State Building in December 2025 and went during sunset, which made the experience extra special. The heaters outside were a nice touch to keep you warm, although they do cast an orange glow if you’re trying to take pictures. Security is thorough—you’ll need to remove your jacket—but the process was quick and efficient. We purchased sunset tickets last minute, which are a bit more expensive, but it was worth it for the timing and the views. There was no line when we arrived, just about five minutes after our ticket time. One tip: don’t hesitate to ask someone to take your photo with the views in the background—it’s totally worth it for a keepsake. Overall, the Empire State Building offers classic NYC views, a smooth visit, and plenty of photo opportunities, especially at sunset.

It was very informative and fun to explore. All the view finders were free. You can upgrade to express tho I don’t feel that necessary. Make sure your ticket is for the 80,86& 102 floors….

Great experience and city views
The museum and observation deck were great! Fantastic views of the city and its landmarks. Highly recommend. We could do everything at our pace and weren’t rushed through.

Mythique!! L’intérieur est superbe, organisation au top!
Emblématique! Avec le city pass nous avions la possibilité de monter 2 fois dans la même journée. Le matin, il neigeait, du coup on n’a rien vu mais quel expérience, l’empire sous la neige! Le soir, nous avons dû attendre 22h pour remonter (nous y étions vers 21h mais ils nous ont refusé l’entrée). C’était super! Belle expérience, mythique!

I finally visited the...
I finally visited the Empire State Building and it honestly lived up to the hype. The views from the top are amazing, and seeing the city stretch out in every direction never gets old. Going near sunset was a great call because the colors were incredible. The staff were friendly and organized, so the lines moved faster than expected. The building itself feels classic and very New York, which adds to the experience. Yes, it’s touristy and a bit pricey, but it’s totally worth it at least once. I’d happily recommend it to friends and I would definitely visit again.

Skip the upgrade unless you feel the need to go past deck 86.
We paid quite a bit for the upgraded ticket. It was worth it to be able to go to deck 102, but the crowds were still very dense. The idea that it was a fast track was not very well executed. It allowed us to bypass maybe one line. So, overall, if you're not set on going past deck 86, I would skip the upgrade. As far as the experience goes, I think everyone should go to the ESB at least once since you get quite a viewpoint of the city.

Must-do next time you're in NYC!
An excellent "must do" experience when you're in NYC. Do this at night - I think that the views are much better! You can either book ahead or pay on the day / night.

This tour was very informative and fun if you like history and museums. The security is like a maximum security prison LOL, the workers are very nice and the observation deck is cool.

An Absolute Must-Do NYC Experience!
This was a huge bucket-list moment and absolutely worth every minute. Seeing the Empire State Building in person gives you a completely different appreciation compared to what you see in the movies. The lead-up to the top is fantastic, with a well-presented mini-museum that adds to the excitement before the elevator ride. There’s an indoor viewing level on the 80th floor and the famous outdoor deck on the 86th floor. It was pretty cold on the day of my visit, and although there are radiant heaters outside, make sure you’re prepared if you’re going in winter. The staff were extremely professional, and their immaculate uniforms and great attitude really added to the overall experience. This iconic landmark is an essential part of any New York trip, no exceptions. Reservations are a must if you have a specific date and time you want to visit, as it can get very busy. Highly recommend!

Iconic, Pricey, and Absolutely Worth It.
Visiting the Empire State Building with my daughter was an absolute highlight of our trip. Is it a tourist trap? Yes. Can it get pricey? Also yes. But it’s still completely worth it. A little planning goes a long way here. Be mindful of the season and the weather—both the crowds and the views can change dramatically depending on those factors. We arrived just as the snow started falling, which made the experience feel almost cinematic. The staff stood out immediately: welcoming, kind, and genuinely knowledgeable, which makes a big difference in a place this busy. If it’s in your budget, I highly recommend the 102nd-floor observation deck. The views are incredible, and the reduced crowd size makes it feel far more relaxed and immersive. One pleasant surprise was how comfortable it was even in winter. The outdoor viewing area has heaters, so you can actually linger and enjoy the moment instead of rushing through. Iconic for a reason—and a memory my daughter and I will always share.

World Ambassadors with Amazing Views!
First of all I have to say that the staff of this experience are TOP KNOTCH Ambassadors to the World! They treated everyone with kindness and dignity, they were helpful and friendly. If everyone coming to America went here they would meet the kindest Americans in the country! The museum is hands on to teach young and old alike about the importance of this historic building. Nothing can top the AMAZING views from the observation deck. Breathtaking and inspiring views. You must come here to see this

one of staff may contain some bad attitude towards tourists
I had a negative experience with the reception staff on the first floor. The attitude of the person at the front desk was unprofessional and dismissive. It seemed like they were unwilling to assist, and there was even a moment where they possibly made a discriminatory gesture, such as spitting, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and it really left a bad impression of the service.

Wir hatten ein Ticket für 21:00 Uhr - waren aber schon viel früher dort. Es war überhaupt kein Problem die Tickets am Automaten auf eine andere Uhrzeit umstellen zu lassen. Das Personal Vorort war super nett und hatte Spaß an der Arbeit. Das Wetter hätte besser sein können, aber dafür kann ja keiner was.
