It was great, I love the view, pick a time in which there are less to no clouds! So you can see :)

Bad timing: closed due to weather

So, there was a storm coming and the deck was closed due to lightning in the area. This was understandably for everyone's safety, but I was really surprised staff were still sending people up to the top with no warning that the observation deck would be closed. We didn't get any fun, classic pictures. There were still nice views from the museum portion that comes just before going up to the deck, but I didn't take photos because I expected to get them upstairs. We were disappointed with the lack of communication.

Amazing city view

It was great ! We were able to get right up to the deck and see what we wanted to see of the city . I will say there isn’t much seating when you’re up there, so if you are someone that needs to sit , just be aware. Also if you want to go up to the 102 floor you have to go all the way back down to get a ticket for that upgrade

Empire State Building Visit July 9, 2026

Very Clean, smooth entry & all representatives were very nice! Fun experience for the price! I used my AAA account for a discount with an online purchase for tickets. Great Gelato on the 86th floor by La Gelateria Di Eataly! I definitely recommend visiting the Empire State Building if you’re in NY!
