Day trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan We stayed on Elephantine Island which we thought might make things complicated, however the communication with the company was excellent, and they helped us to arrange a meeting point close to the ferry to make it as easy as possible for us. We were met at the meeting point and safely driven to Aswan where our guide, Magdy, provided a fantastic crash course both on the temples of Abu Simbel, but also background of the life of Ramses II. Magdy had a map of each of the temples and pictures to show in the car on the way to the temple so that we knew what we would be looking at, and where we could find them. The temples were amazing, and having such a knowledgeable guide was invaluable. On our return to Aswan we mentioned that we would be going to Luxor via Kom Ombo and Edfu, and Magdy drew us a map of the temples and helped us with the history and what to look out for, which we really appreciated. We could not recommend this tour and guide enough. Thank you for such a great experience!

I booked this tour last minute thru gety. They have a good tour itinerary that included a boat ride and entrance tickets included which i thought was a really good deal. For the price i paid i thought we were doing a joining tour but it turned out to be a private tour. Khadija, our guide picked us up on the hotel on time, gave us all sorts of information about the history of the pyramids etc. she was a thoughtful and accommodating guide, even played and watched over our toddler. She also took us inside one of the small pyramids where you can enter for free. And not a single scammer talked to us which is why booking a guide was so worth it! She took our photos which was so nice. We had a lovely time visiting the pyramids that was made better by our guide! Definitely highly recommended!
