We had an absolutely fantastic day with Menna as our tour guide and Mohamed Sami our driver! She took us to the Pyramids of Giza, the Saqqara pyramids, and Memphis, and made the entire experience unforgettable. We learned so much about the Pharaohs and ancient Egyptian history, and she explained everything in a fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. Menna’s passion and positive energy really stood out, and she was always happy to answer any questions and to suggest the best spots for photos. I had an amazing experience—hands down the best tour possible. My guide, Mohamed Hamed, and his driving assistant, Foly, make an exceptional team. They offer unique access that other guides don't, taking you to 'hidden gems' like authentic local coffee shops rather than just tourist traps, and getting you behind closed doors for exclusive photos. Mohamed is also incredibly intelligent and has a deep knowledge of history. Highly recommended!

We did a full-day East and West Bank private tour in Luxor as a family of four in December 2025. Unfortunately, our experience with the tour guide significantly affected the day. Our guide, Susan, spoke very quickly and her English was difficult to understand, which made following explanations challenging. At each site, we were given only very brief information before being told to “hurry” during our free time. The overall pace felt rushed and stressful rather than immersive. During drives between sites, the guide was often on her phone making personal calls, and explanations at the destinations were minimal. This was disappointing, as we came to Egypt to learn and gain deeper insight into the history. We noticed other guides nearby using visual aids and taking time to explain things thoroughly, which highlighted what was missing from our experience. Her overall demeanour suggested frustration rather than enthusiasm for the role. This experience reinforced that the quality of a tour can depend heavily on the guide assigned. My recommendation would be to consider booking tours once you arrive in Egypt, through your hotel or Airbnb host. We found locally arranged experiences to be far more engaging, flexible, and easy to book—often within 24 hours—with excellent guides.

Khalaf from Emo was an incredible guide. He made me feel really comfortable as a solo traveller. He is knowledgeable and personable and I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Giza and/or Cairo. He was my guide for three days and he helped make the experience one I will never forgot.

The half-day tour booked by my wife Kamala includes the visit to Christian Coptic churches and the Citadel including three mosques with Hosam Kamel as the guide. Hosam Kamel was kind and friendly, and we had an amazing time. Our entire trip, he explained everything about the mosques and churches. We highly recommend Emo Tour to all of our family and friends.
