Tour date: 26 December 2025 We had a great tour to the Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis with Hazem! Not only is he very knowledgeable, he’s also quite funny, and not to mention how great he is at taking photos. Our tour started late because of a miscommunication with another guest who joined, but that was sorted out.We started our tour in Saqqara, then went to Memphis to see the statue of Ramses lying down. After that, he took us for lunch, which was a very good buffet. We were so full and our energy was restored for the final stop: the Pyramids. Hazem did a great job making the Pyramids our last stop because there weren’t many tourists in the afternoon, so we were able to take a lot of great photos. If you plan to book with Emo Tours, be sure to ask for Hazem! Thank you for making our trip memorable!

Emo tours helped us out with a reasonably complicated request of mutliple transfers between Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan and Marsa Alam for a group of 12 and spaced over two weeks. The busses were safe, comfortable and always on time; despite the well known chaotic traffic we felt safe, so skilled drivers (I suggest tipping them well, it's worth it!). The overall price was also fair. So 5 stars for the stuff that really matters. One area is communication; with one exception the drivers couldn't speak english so any requests or clarifications were by phone and as Emo appeared to subcontract some of the services, the communication got complicated. For one leg I was in communication with 4 different people; I even had to remind them of the original agreements we had made. It all worked out well but I would recommend that if you plan something a little complicated get all the details clear upfront and well documented, so do your research! Always a good thing anyway. I'll certainly use Emotours again.

Our pick up was scheduled at Ramses Hilton, a hotel with many gates and three roads around it, at 6.30. We did not know what a type of vehicle to wait. No vehicle showed up until 7.00, while no answer was given to our messages at WhatsApp. We called them and told us the driver would arrive in 10 min at the second gate of the hotel. Many calls followed telling us that the driver will arrive in 20 min, then in 40 min. We ended up waiting for 2 hours and a half, on the road. We finally saw our vehicle by chance, entering into the hotel, while we waited outside, on the road, at 9.00. The following tour was nice. The tour guide Rami tried to show as all she could in limited-time, without details, but she was very friendly and willing to answer our questions. She even tried to show us Cavafy's house, even if it wasn't included.

We took three tours with Emo and every one was exceptional, thanks to our incredible guides - Sherif and Mahmoud. Our Whale Valley tour was a long day, full of exciting driving and superb archeological sights. Sherif is very engaging and always client focused and attentive. Our Coptic and Islam tour was very different, but just as enjoyable. Our guide, Mahmoud, was appropriately low key for the religious sites. Our driver Ibrahim was with us for both tours, as well as our dinner at the foot of the pyramids. Navigating Cairo and outskirts traffic without accident is a talent and he was talented. Overall, we would certainly recommend Emo for a local cultural experience, with real people and local flavour.

We did a tour of coptic cairo + islamic cairo + khan el khalili. They don't share the guide's number and all comm has to be through their central office. This caused a lot of confusion as we were not able to locate our guide and driver. They were waiting for us in a different lobby of the hotel. The guide had very basic information to offer. His language skills were rudimentary and he would just repeat the same 1 or 2 sentences. He did not add any value to the tour. He also said that khan el khalili was not part of the tour. Had to argue with him and get the central office to communicate with him before he and the driver agreed to stay back for the market. Overall not a good experience.
