A tour guide is so much better than going it alone!

They don’t actually have your tickets and you will find out the day before the tour that your trip is cancelled
Buyer beware. We booked months in advance for this tour and after traveling to Rome from the US, they send us a message the night before saying they had an issue getting us tickets. So while they tell you you’re all set and booked they are actually not sure if they will actually be able to get any tickets until the night before. This was to be the highlight of our trip to Rome and we were heartbroken. What makes matters worse is that you can’t review a booking if it’s been canceled so there are likely many more people getting this same scam treatment. I found out that this is a common occurrence for this sort of thing. So hopefully we can save you heartache and anger with this warning!

Great Tour of the colosseum & ruins
We were in Rome for 3 days and wanted to see the colosseum and other Roman ruins. The tour was great, enough information to understand the area / history but fast enough to not get bogged down. Our tour guy was great!

Luca was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. He really gave an incredibly in-depth illustration of history of the church. Tour is definitely a hidden gem and me and my family highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a wonderful experience! My granddaughter and I were very excited for this tour and enjoyed it very much. Everything went smoothly and our tour guide Laura was amazing! Very knowledgeable and an excellent guide.

Eddy our tour guide was great! Nothing really prepares you for the beauty and history that surrounds you when you enter the Vatican. Eddy’s knowledge and guidance was exceptional.

Such a wonderful experience with our tour guide Eddie! He gave a great ,accurate and entertaining explanation of the art and sculpture. He really brought the entire collection to life. . Definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy.

Worth it!
Well worth the money to skip the lines. The Vatican grounds are so crowded that you'd also miss many of the sights being shuffled along if you didn't have a tour guide pointing them out. I learned so much!

Giuesppe is the best guide👌
The tour group is EcoArt, which I believe it’s based here in Rome. I usually find some fault with the tour guides, either not knowing enough or regurgitating too many facts and figures. However, our guide Giuseppe Beccia, was amazing. His thorough knowledge of the inner workings of the Vatican and the artwork on display is from his 2 master degrees in the field, a Nun for a sister, and of course, many years of being a guide. He did not try to confuse us with too much information but did have many interesting facts about the art we were seeing as well as the history of the Vatican

Not to be missed
So much to take in...beautiful. Be prepared for large slow moving crowds. There are very few places to sit, so you will be standing/walking at least 3 hours. Many staircases, some without handrails. But the sculptures, paintings and tapestries are not to be missing. Also, beware, there are three "gift shops" on the way to the exit.

Lovely Tour with Fred 5/16/26
I am so glad we booked this tour, allowing us to quickly and effectively have this experience. Our guide, Fred, was very knowledgeable and provided us with an immense amount of information. The morning meeting point was clearly described and easy to find. We were able to see the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with our guide, while St Peter’s Basilica was self-guided. Fred brought the group near the entrance to the basilica before departing, making entry seamless. Of note, there are multiple tour groups that also have the skip-the-line tickets, so there is still a long line for entry at 0800. However, the line moves quickly and we were in within 15 minutes. If we didn’t have these tickets I’m sure the wait would have been brutal. I would recommend this tour to anyone considering, the crowds were massive and this truly made it so much easier to navigate!

Awesome tour would book again
Tour was well organized, easy to find the guides at check in location. Our guide Joesph did an exceptional job navigating the busy areas, was very knowledgeable and funny on top of it. Would gladly book this tour again, great experience at an amazing place.
