Fabulous guide, great tour!
Fabio was wonderful, cheery and knowledgeable and made our jammed packed Rome trip more enjoyable. This was a great tour. The museum and chapel were a sea of people and Fabio navigated through that happily ensuring we were all keeping up and having a good time. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Tour of the Borghese
We had a spare morning in our Rome holiday which we decided to fill with a trip to the Borghese. I am so glad we did. Riccardo, our guide, was just brilliant. He was fascinating to listen to, with a deep knowledge and special skill in helping you consider what was special and unique about the pieces while giving you all the information you would expect. Our group had a range of ages from young children to seniors and there wasn't a member of the group he didn't enthrall and entertain. This was an absolute highlight of our trip. The building is amazing, and the collection is outstanding. Good cafe as well. I would totally recommend this as an experience.

The Vatican Museum
There was a lot of walking! The museum was much bigger than I thought it would be! I also was amazed at the size of the crowds. I understand with the Jubilee year and it being on a weekend probably added to crowd size. Our guide was amazing!! So knowledgeable and humorous making it a memorable event!

Go on a small group tour of Vatican for the best experience!
Our guide Eugene was amazing and so was the tour. He was so knowledgeable, and his comments and insight were so good. You could tell he loved the Vatican and his job as a guide. He was passionate about both.

A great self-guided tour option
When I was unable to get a ticket to tour the Colosseum directly, I looked for alternatives and came across the self-guided tour from Eco-Tours, and I'm glad I did. Locating the representative to get my ticket was easy and being able to navigate the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum at my own pace and with the downloadable guide was great. For the Colosseum, I had a 9 AM ticket with Arena. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. While there were definitely a lot more people there at that time than I hoped, it also got more crowded throughout my hour inside, so I would echo recommendations to book an early time. I also took their advice to start at the Palatine Hill entrance instead of the Roman Forum, which was nice because I got to avoid the crowds for that portion since most people enter at the Roman Forum following their Colosseum visit. I ended up spending about 3 hours in total, and had I not booked a tour for the Vatican City in the afternoon, I would've spent more time at Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum.

Why we chose a guided tour
We were in a small manageable group of ten. Our guide Sara was very knowledgeable and explained things in a way that if were one was there for the first time and knew nothing, to the person who was very involved and asked deeper questions, could answer the questions and explain without losing anyone along the way. I would highly recommend. It beats the audio guide, especially in such a massive crowded place. The only way to go.

Small group tour of Borghese is a must!
Amazing museum and our guide was terrific. Get a small group tour of this museum because it is large and can be overwhelming. Plus, the guides know the artwork and can point out things you may miss. Highly recommend.

Maria Laura was our guide at the Vatican! She was amazing! She has a PHD in Art History and was so informative with back stories. Not only that, she had a wonderful sense of humor and made it so enjoyable.

Federica was an A+ tour guide. As she guided us through the rooms of the Borghese Galleria she explained the art and the historical significance as well the artist’s relevance in history. She really knows her art history and this building houses some of the most important pieces. Don’t miss this one.
