A must do!
My wife and I booked on this tour for when we were in Rome earlier this month and we both agreed that doing this tour is the only way to see and experience the Vatican! Our tour guide Laura was fantastic; explaining all different parts of the area’s history whilst also answering questions as she walked us round. I would 100% recommend having a guided tour as although going to the Vatican City should be part of everyone’s visit to Rome, I really don’t think you’d get as much out of it as we did; having Laura explain everything. All the parts of the city we saw were amazing; especially the Sistine Chapel which is breathtaking. At the end of the guided tour there is a huge museum which we didn’t spend too much time in but if you combined that with the tour you could definitely spend a good portion of the day here.

The museum was amazing it was massive, way bigger than we expected, absolutely amazing, I would imagine it gets very hot in the summer months, we did it in in March and it was still busy, we were so glad we booked the skip the line option, it is well worth a visit

We had a fantastic experience at the Vatican City through our exceptional tour guide Oscar! It was a quick and easy process to get into the Vatican and once inside our knowledgeable and humorous tour guide made the experience enjoyable and interesting. There was so much to see and Oscar ensured he gave us the necessary information and answered all our questions.

Guided tour of the Vatican
We did the tour with Frederica and she was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of the history was extremely informative and she made it fun. I would highly recommend her if you are to ask for a particular guide. Wear comfortable shoes it’s a lot of walking, the Vatican is huge!!!

Great tour
Adriano was a fantastic tour guide. He was very informative and guided us to all the most important signs in the Vatican Museum. He also spent time describing what we would see in the Sistine Chapel before we entered. There were only 7 people on this tour so the small group size was also a plus.

Incredible Tour of the Vatican Museum
We had an incredible experience at the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel! Yamuna was a phenomenal guide and made this experience very rewarding. Yamuna had a wealth of knowledge stemming from 7 years of experience as a Vatican Museum tour guide and an advance academic degree in Art History. Yamuna made the most important art of the museum come to life for our family. Beyond Yamuna’s kind, patient and helpful nature, she was careful to include our young daughters into her tour and answered all of their questions. Her english was also very good which made it easier for our kids to understand every detail. Lastly, Yamuna masterfully guided us through the museum while providing key historic background to important art pieces while maintaining a good pace so that we stayed engaged for the entire tour. Overall, this was the best tour that we’ve had in three trips to Rome over the last 20 years. We are very grateful for EcoArt and especially Yamuna.

Eddy was a fantastic guide!
Eddy greeted us with a perfect mixture of warmth, humor and excitement about the adventure we were about to embark on. His stories and commentary were the perfect infotainment for our Vatican tour. We really enjoyed all the knowledge that he shared, gave us quite the appreciation for what we were seeing and experiencing for the first time. 10 out of 10 definitely rockstar territory! His spontaneous renditions of his favorite 80s music moments were not to be missed! Highly recommended.

Great visit with a tour by an expert
This was just the right balance of deference to history and topical interest. Given you can not see everything in this amazing collection Fred @ecoart travel did a good job of highlighting those parts of the story that benefit from seeing in real life. For everything else there is Wikipedia. I would say a guided tour is certainly worthwhile.

Great Tour For Art Lovers!
Our tour guide, Danielle, was very friendly, knowledgeable about the art and the tour was very interesting. We chose the tour that included the Raphael rooms which I would highly recommend. Although there were tour guides taking groups into the Sistine Chapel we were told that they could not go in with us. But Danielle provided a great history beforehand so we knew what to look for. The tour was pretty pricey but you get more out of the Vatican museums with a guide. Although originally the tour was supposed to include the Basilica I received an email beforehand saying that they could not take us to St Peter’s because of the Jubilee.

Well organised guided tour and an amazing experience
Very good guided experience, well Worth it. We could skip the line and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. There is alot to see and take in so the pace was right. Something to note, St Peter’s basilica is just round the corner from the Vatican and worth a visit, it’s free and breathtaking. Just follow the walls round on the right from entrance and you’ll find it

Best vatican tour I’ve been on
This is my third time visiting the vatican and it’s by far the best tour I’ve had. Our guide Oscar was kind, knowledgeable and hilarious. It was a highly engaging tour and he was able to answer any questions the group had - he clearly knows his stuff. We had a great time! 10/10 recommend

This was a wonderful tour, well organized from beginning to end with clear easy to follow instructions. Our guide, Assunta, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and presented in the info in a fun and engaging manner- we learned so much! I would highly recommend this tour!!

Skip the line Vatican Tour
Skip the line Vatican tour isn't really a full skip. There are many other groups outside the Vatican museum all entering every half hour under the guise of skipping the line. Yes, you don't have to wait on line for tickets but it does take a half hour to get in. Our tour of the Vatican museums was between 2.5 and 3 hours as promised. We had a very knowledgeable tour leader with a background in archeology and history. Unfortunately her accent was a little too heavy to fully understand her though the headsets during the tour. What they don't tell you is that the tour guide doesn't come in with you into the Sistine Chapel at the end. We were told that the tour leaders can't talk within the chapel. This was a huge disappointment for me, since it is tge highlight of tge tour. Instead we were told we could read about the chapel while in there though a suggested website. I dont think it was worth the price for a shorter line and a tour of the Vatican museums without the Sidtine Chapel, even if it is true about other groups. It is fully disclosed that you're fully on your own to go to St Peter's Basilica after the tour.
