Colosseo & Foro Romano - Recommend for a 1/2 day!

Enrica was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. Brought us to all the important spots, and shared some critical pieces of ancient Roman history. 3 hours well spent!

Smooth and well arranged

A very smooth and well arranged tour. Meeting point is easy to find and we get into the colosseo swiftly. Our guide Ursus was very friendly and we had a pleasant time.

Really great tour with Eddy

I really enjoyed our tour, the meeting spot was easy to find and overall the tour was very informative and captivating. Eddy was our guide and he was amazing! Super knowledgeable but also funny and happy to answer any questions. The gallery is gorgeous and totally worth seeing, especially with the guided tour. We left learning so much more from the tour than we would have on our own. A great experience, and definitely enjoyed Eddy!

Church sanctioned scam

Unfortunately if you want to get into the Vatican Museum you have to use one of the endless number of scam companies which are obviously in cahoots with the Vatican as there are never any tickets available for purchase on line. These people are essentially scalpers who scoop up all the tickets and then charge you for the ticket and an additional fee for get “access” to the museum. They say you are “skipping the line” but you don’t even actually skip the line other than the one outside the ticket office which is endless and you are constantly harassed by the many agents of the scalping companies trying to convince you to pay extra just to buy their tickets. We tried waiting in line for the Vatican box office but the line basically only moves when people give up and leave it. We didn’t see anyone actually get tickets after waiting. We really just had one day to see the Museum so we decided to get the tickets online while we were waiting in the regular ticket line. There are numerous companies with tickets available so check around because they don’t all charge the same price. Once we purchased the “tickets” we went down the hill below the Museum and waited for our “allotted time” then we waited for someone from the company to “escort” us to wait in the line for that time slot and then to wait in line to be brought inside where we were dropped off in the Museum by this person who then left to go back outside to do it all over again. Don’t get me wrong, the Museum is fantastic and we spent the whole day there seeing everything we could see but it’s disappointing that the Vatican has allowed this whole “industry” to develop around buying their tickets. I wouldn’t have written this review but the company we used had the nerve to send me an email asking for a review of their company so here’s my review. Good luck whatever you decide to do and enjoy Roma which is fantastico!!!

Beat the crowds and see all the highlights

Our tour guide Ilaria was amazing! She took us to the highlights of the Vatican Museums and gave us a fantastic art history lesson behind many of the pieces as well as the Sistine Chapel. The crowds and the museums would have been overwhelming if we tried to navigate them on our own without a guide. I highly recommend this tour!

The Vatican is such a beautiful and overwhelming place, so having someone like Martina as our tour guide was amazing. She was knowledgeable, personable and a wonderful guide to walk us through such stunning surroundings, sharing the rich history of the art, architecture and culture of the city.

Fred was our tour guide. He had an archeological background which added some different information to the tour! He was very passionate which helped keep us engaged. There is so much information that a tour like this can be overwhelming, but Fred made it fun!

Plus, Alessia checked if the shortcut door to St Peters Square was open and this saved us 30 minutes of walking around to get to the square. Every minute of the excursion was so worth it!

Beautiful experience

Big shout out to EcoArt for making sure we made our tour. We had missed the first train, then the second was packed, so three trains later we are finally on our way. I reached out to let them know and they had someone waiting to meet us and get us to our guide. Doriana was amazing and very knowledgeable, explaining the history and the whys. I did this tour years ago but felt like I learned so much more. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
