Waste of money, poor delivery, avoid

Waste of money overall Entrance speed was good. The main part we paid the money for, the small group guide, was terrible. Monotonous, rambling, babbling voice. Bor ing delivery, at times like ' so here you see a number of animal sculptures, see there is a donkey, here a lion...'. I don't need a guide for that. I would like explanations, context, history, comparion. At times got factual stuff outright wrong. We counted down the minutes. Hardly anything explained about what we would see in the Sistine Chapel. Really a big waste of money, would strongly advise against I am afraid, and we write negative reviews very rarely.

My friend and I had a...

My friend and I had a tour with Guia on April 14th (I’m a bit late reviewing..). It was supposed to be a small group tour but the other people that were supposed to be on the tour didn’t show so we ended up with a little private tour! We throughly enjoyed our tour and all the knowledge Guia shared with us. I am a massive art nerd l, my friend not so much, and she did a great job explaining things so both myself and my friend understood. We would absolutely recommend!!

Excellent tour of the Colosseum with David

Our tour of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill with David was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and an excellent tour guide. We highly recommend the EcoArt tours.

Excellent Tour

This tour was excellent and Ursus was a great guide. He made sure we saw all the important works and added wonderful context, which made the experience far superior than going without a guide.

Knowledgeable and Friendly

Chiara was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. I especially enjoyed her details about the map gallery, which really enhanced my enjoyment of the space.

Brilliant tour

The queues were enormous so we were glad we had booked the Skip the line tour. Eddy reckoned it wasn't that busy and showed us photos of busy days and we could see what he meant! Brilliant tour, Eddy was great, very informative, and with a sense of humour! It was a smallish group which was a positive and meant Eddy could spend more time explaining 'stuff' to us.

Worthwhile tour and skipping the line

The tour was all around great from check in to the museum, Sistine chapel, and direction to the basilica. Rosa was a fantastic tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. It is definitely worth it to do a tour to get more information on the history and context of the artwork and sculptures of the Vatican. Be prepared for a bit of a long day as we didn’t have much energy to explore Vatican City after the tour and dealing with lines and crowds.

Vatican tour with EcoArt Rome

Well organized by EcoArt. Easy to find location at the stairs of Via Tunisi. The tour was wonderful en impressive. Vatican museum beautiful but mainly because of the excellent guide . Giuseppe is amazing . We recommend to ask for him

Outstanding Guide of Villa Borghese Gallery Eddy!

This review is primarily for our guide, Eddy. He incorporated many interesting facts, and humor to make the tour of the beautiful art selection informative and digestible. Would highly recommend!

The best art tour in Rome

Jeannette is an amazing tour guide — her knowledge of art history is extensive! She masterfully discussed the differences between the Baroque, early, mid and late Renaissance. As we approached a painting, Jeannette would ask what drew us into the canvas and how the characters directed us to the next part of the story the artist was portraying. She also addressed a painter’s lack of knowledge about the human anatomy with awkward proportions or by using the same face for all the figures in the painting. It was incredible to learn that boys as young as 6 were training as an apprentice! With the sculptures, she showed how the artist added depth to each piece by the way a person’s skin was conveyed and how to tell if the subject was young, adult or elderly. Historical tidbits about the Cardinal’s buying art on the cheap and using poor grade marble for his statuary added to the charm of the program. An incredible afternoon at the Borghese Gallery!

The tour felt like a trip...

The tour felt like a trip through the guide’s favorite pieces. It dragged along in some areas for a long time. And then when we got outside the Basilica he told us what was inside and left us on our own. A guide into the church itself would have been much more helpful. Especially considering the time we spent with him before.

Vatican overload

The Vatican is overwhelming to be honest. The volume of things to see, number of people there (and we went on a weekday …) and the history is incredible. Our guide was Doriana and she was amazing. 5 stars. Not often to get a PhD as a guide and she both knows so much and is enthusiastic (and funny!).

We had Giuseppe as our guide and he was exceptional. The information and knowledge that Giuseppe gave us was so good, we would recommend ECO to anyone.

We had booked a guided tour for the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel and it was really amazing! The meeting point was easy to locate and Ursus our guide has been absolutely Fantastic sharing his deep knowledge especially regarding the Sistine Chapel and explaining everything beforehand and what to look for, giving us details that could have easily been missed. He was also talking at a good speed to easily understand him and giving us time to admire/take in the beauty of the place/statues/paintings. Even though there is so much to see, and there are some areas I would have liked to roam a little bit longer (the Vatican museum is just so big!) I would totally recommend that tour with Ursus, we left mesmerised, full of beautiful moments and memories :)

Must book this amazing Vatican tour!

We had an incredible experience on our Vatican tour, and we can’t say enough good things about our guide, Monica. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the entire tour. My boyfriend and I brought my grandmother along on this trip to Italy, and this particular tour meant the world to her. Since she uses a wheelchair due to the amount of walking involved, we were initially worried about accessibility—but Monica went above and beyond to make sure my grandmother felt included every step of the way. She never once let her feel left behind or overlooked, and that care made all the difference for us. The storytelling, the history, and the immersive atmosphere made it such a special experience for our whole family. I can’t recommend this tour enough—especially the skip-the-line feature, which saved us so much time and stress. Truly a must-book if you're visiting the Vatican!

Anna is the best guide ever!

Anna was the best guide! Her Sistine Chapel handouts and talk ahead of time made the experience so much richer. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. As for the booking, the only snag was that we paid for the Basilica option, but our original time was canceled due to the Pope meeting with the staff. The rebooked time didn’t allow us to enter St. Peter’s Basilica for some reason.

So much to see!

Great experience but not for the faint of heart. It is all outside with lots of walking and stairs. No other way to see these amazing sites. We are in our 70s and good health. It was only 72° but we were hot and plenty tired by the end. Our tour guide was good and very informative but hard to understand. Good English but strong accent. So much covered in three hours. If you have the time, split the tour in two for a total of four or five hours. So much to see. So much history.

Great value.

Very educational. Our tour guide Maria was great. We had a small group and she made sure we all stayed together. It was a long tour with lots of walking and steps.
