Amazing Food Tour!!!

Cate was an amazing tour guide!!! She is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Portuguese culture! I learned so much from her and ate amazing food. Definitely recommend!! :)

We didn’t feel like this was a very well organized tour. There was a total of 6 people on this tour. We were a party of 2 but were expected to split different cicchettis amongst the group of 6. Cutting up cicchetti into 3 pieces or more is no easy task and really wasn’t ideal. The good thing about it was we feel in love with the other family in our group and had a wonderful evening! The tour guide was nice but we got very little history of the Jewish ghetto. There are a lot of food tours offered in Venice and to be honest, this one was a bit disappointing. But we met some new friends which made it all worth it!

Best Food Tour of Lisbon

Awesome food and wine tour in Lisbon. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Amanda has a great personality and depth of knowledge of Portuguese culture.

Walking food tour: a fine beginning to our trip

Planned this tour for earlier in day before we joined our group. Tour leader excellent. Tastings met expectations: Some delicious, food & wine (& beer) all interesting & overall a good introduction. Highly recommend!

Great Food Tour on a Hectic Day!

We had a great time on our food tour with Carlos. We scheduled our tour on April 25th (the Carnation Revolution), so there were tons of people in the street and shops. Despite the chaos, our guide was able to navigate the crowds and keep the two little kids on the tour happy (with sufficient sweets to hold their attention). We had delicious green wine, octopus salad, and Bacalhau. My husband and I do not eat pork, and Carlos was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (e.g., swapping a Bifana for a calamari sandwich). Highly recommend!

Sisters in Europe

This was a fabulous tour! I highly recommend Carlos for this food experience. We’re here for our 50th birthday celebration with our best friends and their sisters. The food and knowledge of our host is unmatched. Do yourself a favor and join this tour. The area is clean and beautiful with yummy food and lots of laughs.

David is a very personable guide, mixing his deep knowledge of Portuguese culture, history and gastronomy into a really enjoyable tour. We ate a range of national specialities matched with beer and wine (non-alcoholic an option) in just the right quantities. Highly recommended!

Authentic Food, Rich History, passionate guide -not your typical food tour - Amazing Evening.

Not your typical Food Tour and worth the time and money! Leo, our Guide, was amazing with her history, stories and passion for the food! The restaurant stops were all authentic with a story behind each item we tried. And, not just a sample, full size portions at every spot. The history shared made the evening and we felt like locals by the end. Again, Leo loves her country and food and it showed through our 3+ hours together!

Outstanding Tour with Fred

Fred is an outstanding tour guide. The tour was perfectly paced, allowing us to fully enjoy each tasting without feeling rushed. He led us through hidden corners of Baixa and the Moorish Quarter—places we never would have discovered on our own. It was as much a cultural tour as it was a culinary one, and everyone in our group, from age 9 to 70, had a fantastic afternoon. He also gave us a list of everywhere we visited and loads of additional recommendations.

Must do when in Lisboa

I got lost and barely made it on time my tour guide Carlos was very understanding. He was very detailed about history of the area and the different resturants we visited. I consider myself a slow walker and i was able to keep up with the tour and everyone was accommodating. There was no bad bite of food and I would recommend this tour and guide Carlos.
