Valeria, our guide was terrific! she was knowledgeable and added the right amount of humor. the food and wine were excellent. I would, however, recommend to shorten by one stop and perhaps add more historical points regarding the food and locations.

This tour was well organized, moved along well, informative and fun. Beatriz, the guide, is excellent. It was well worth the time and cost. The port winery tour was especially good. Warning: there is a lot of walking.

Wonderful surprise
Booked this tour on a whim after my travel buddies’ flight was delayed and I was stranded alone in Lisbon. Best decision ever!! Great group of people, with hilarious David the tour guide, who equally shared historical tid bits about the city while making us all laugh. David has a gift for connecting with the guests and making everyone at ease. So much good food and wine. Fado singer was an excellent surprise. Perfect way to spend a laid back afternoon. 100% recommend.

A few unexpected surprises on this tour. When I looked at the foods featured - a bifana, chorizo, bacalhau, pastel de nata - it seems like a very basic sampling of standard Portuguese food, but it was the locales and our guide, Gabi (Gabriel) that made the difference. Though my surprising favorite was the fireman’s chorizo (much better than the spicy chorizo in US), the bright octopus salad, and the samosas with Mozambique influence and homemade peri-peri sauce. Gabi is also right that just the right amount of cinnamon on a pastel is a game changer. Overall, the wines were very nice as well. On top of that, Gabi was a great storyteller and off-the-cuff jokester, so it felt like we also got a comedy show. Gabi also made us feel like it was important to him personally that we all enjoyed our time on the tour. They also made sure to accommodate a vegetarian in our group (though I swear she tried the octopus salad and bacalhau). Really a great day all around. One thing you should know, the itinerary on TripAdvisor is not necessarily up to date. One of the small fish food items described was not on our tour, and while the itinerary says you are supposed to end up where you start, we ended right after we sample the pastel at St Anthony pastel shop. Which was fine since we took one of the castle elevators down and then walked down to Praca do Comercio. Highly recommended tour.

Outstanding tour and guide
Alessandra was what every great tour guide should be: very knowledgeable, engaging and personable. Her choice of different pizzas and aperitifs to taste was superb. She was great at sharing info about the ingredients and processes to make different pizzas. We would definitely book another tour with her.

Fabulous Florence Food Experience
Such a wonderful experience, I t was wonderful to sample food authentically from Tuscany. Highlights were our guide Ivana who lead our group to wine windows, pear and sheep cheese raviolis, a ravioli filling dish made without the pasta, a Negroni and its origins, Boar stew with a super Tuscan, and the best gelato! Thank you Eating Europe:)

Fantastic food and wine tour! Tina our guide was great….shared so much information about Italian wines and history about Florence. I highly recommend taking this tour! Food was yummy too!
