Amazing Food tour in Lisbon
we had an amazing time with Carlos on our tour! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and the cuisine in Portugal. We enjoyed all of the food and wine during our three hours on this tour. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Lisbon.

Great new tour
Fantastic tour with Carlos! The selection of restaurants was great and the walking distance was short. There was plenty of wine at each stop. The food was good, not as plentiful but still very tasty. Great way to see the area and try some great local wines in different settings.

Carlos’ mom told him to study history and he went into finance, as one does when they are 17. Now he leads THE BEST wine and food tour in Lisbon. Hands down.

Booker Beware!!
We would have LOVED to go on this tour. The description and all the places to be visited sounded amazing and the reviews were fantastic. However, the weather was forecasting rain and thunderstorms. At the time of our booking - and up until the tour company (Eating Europe) apparently changed it this past Tuesday - there was a bullet point under "Additional Information" that read - "This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund." I reached out to the tour company that morning, letting them know we had an hour drive into the city and with the weather forecast looking grim, at what point would they determine to cancel the tour. The tour company responded with "the tour will go rain or shine, recommend you wear appropriate footwear and bring an umbrella". Frankly, splashing around in the rain (and thunder) with up to 12 other people all carrying umbrellas and trying to hear the tour guide held no appeal for us. Pointing this out - along with the above mentioned bullet point (again) - did no good. We were told (paraphrasing here) to show up or forfeit the booking cost. While the touring company has since updated their listing, removing the bullet point, this experience did not leave us feeling any value or consideration from Eating Europe and we would caution those booking to be sure they are willing to do this tour in inclement weather. It did, in fact, rain (and thunderstorm) in Florence that afternoon (we were scheduled at 3:30) and into the evening.

Not worth it. At all.
Definitely not worth the cost. You can get multiple meals for what amounted to a half a sandwich, a few bites of salad, and a simosa. One of the worst food tours we've been on globally.
