10/10 Experience with Porto Food, Wine and History!
My wife and I did a private Porto tour with Eating Europe and Diogo R. in April 2026, and we had an incredible experience! The francesinha, traditional Portuguese cod dishes, and port wine tasting at Real Companhia Velha were all delicious! Just as enjoyable as the food and beverages were our conversations with our guide Diogo R.! We learned about Porto and Portugal’s history, traditions, and culture! We highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves food, wine, history, culture - or all of the above!

A Must Do Tour
This was an outstanding tour. Our guide, Leo for short, was phenomenal. She was very outgoing, down to earth, professional and engaging. The tavern/restaurant selections were wonderful with very good food selections and portions. Each location specialized in authentic indigenous dishes. Not tourist traps. They also take into avoiding individual food allergies.

A great way to experience Lisbon.
Great experience. If you have the opportunity take it . A great way to visit establishments you are unlikely to find as a tourist . Gabi was a great host and made the experience even that much better.

Great authentic food tour
My wife and and I had an excellent tour with Gabi. We were able to walk around different neighborhoods and experience authentic food. It was great having a smaller group which created a more authentic atmosphere. We would highly recommend this tour and especially Gabi!

Awesome Food Tour!!
Carlos was a very passionate and energetic host. He did a great job sharing a lot of cultural and historical insights behind the food we were tasting. He made sure everyone was welcomed and was having a good time! Would definitely use him again as a tour guide!

So Much Fun
I had a great trip as a solo. So many options and so much food and drink to learn about. It was great to have explained to us the history of the drinks that we had and the background of what we were partaking in. I have a food allergy and it was clear he was very aware of it and made sure that I still had other options for eating.

This tour was absolutely amazing! So much food and wine for the price you pay. And we felt like true locals! We got to see so many spots we would not otherwise know about. And Jasmin was the BEST tour guide! She was so passionate about the area and we had so much fun learning from her 😊

Great tour of local foods!
We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Ribas, was very knowlegible and had a great personality! We learned a lot about the food (and soccer) culture of Porto. Would highly recommend this tour!

Memorable food and drink tour.
Well organised and informative, fun walking tour. We discovered some less frequently eating establishments that could easily be overlooked by tourists. We explored some great food options, with accompanying alcoholic or soft drinks. Carlos was easy-natured and very keen to help us enjoy this beautiful city. The group size was 11 - ideal, not too large and not too small.

Fun night !
This tour is such a fun way to experience Lisbon and try food at different restaurants you would not normally go to.Our guide Carlos was great. Informative, personable and funny. We have used Eating Europe before and it always has been a great experience.

Fantastic tour
Our guide was Carlos and he was amazing! Carlos was extremely knowledgeable with historical facts surrounding the area of the restaurants we visited. My husband & I were impressed with his selection of local food & wine. We felt like part of the local vibe! We look forward to trying more “Eating your way through Europe” tours in the future.
