Best food and wine in Lisbon

Worth the time and cost

Great to be across the river away from tourist traps and Duomo restaurant barkers. Led by locals who clearly value their city and want to connect strangers over shared food and discoveries of regional culture. Serena was excellent.

food is art

everything was awesome. the host expressed some new ways for me to experience my food which really brought out more in the food and the experience. this then stressed the importance of how they view their own region of italy which makes this experience as important as any of the art and statues which are abundant.

Great taste of LIsbon!

Fred was an excellent guide who did a great job of letting us experience the unique tastes of Lisbon in some of the local neighborhoods. The food and wine was great. We even bought a bottle of the local cherry liquor it was so good, and we probably would never have discovered it otherwise. It was a great afternoon with plenty to eat and drink and it was all good. He also provided great historical and cultural background so we could more fully appreciate our experience. My only regret was that our only two days in Lisbon kept us from following up with return visits to some of the places we stopped. One suggestion: Lisbon is very hilly, with lots of steps and cobblestone hills. That plus the heat can be a challenge to people who are mobility limited or otherwise not in good health. That should probably be mentioned in the tour description. With that advisory I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Pizza Food Tour…more than just eating

A memorable night out with amazing food and great company

Amazing tour. The food and wine were exquisite, the guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and so nice, giving us great tips and hidden gems in Florence along the way. In addition to the wonderful tour Selena (?) provided, she helped me communicate by email in Italian with a local merchant who did not speak english. I strongly recommend this tour, particularly if you are a solo traveller.

Fantastic evening with Martino

We had a fantastic experience with Martino. It was such a fun tour that allowed us to try different things. It was a tour of almost 4 hours. Martino is a very knowledgeable about not only about food but history and Florence. Thank you for a great evening.

Fun food/walking tour!

We enjoyed a fun food/walking tour with our guide, Voita. He shared interesting information about the city and we tasted wonderful foods from many different specialty shops...and several different beers! A fun way to get oriented to parts of the city and try regional specialties! The group size (10) made it easy to talk with others and to hear Voita. We had so many great food stops that we didn't eat dinner that night! (I didn't capture pictures of everything - just posting a few)

Great experience. Generous amounts of food and drink. Great information about the food history of portugal. Guide sent out an email with places to eat and drink outside of the tour, it was greatly appreciated.
