A great activity! Jasmin was really engaging and clearly knew how to make pasta. We visited a local store and sampled goods, without it feeling overly “touristy”. I feel like I have learned some great skills that I can now use at home to make fresh pasta.

A must for anyone visiting Lisbon

Carlos our tour guide made the experience complete. We visited 5 restaurants where history and culinary experience mingled. Each time Carlos adding to all. In each place wines were gloriously paired to compliment the taste. If you want a walking tour combined with a tasting experience then this is the one.

Bellisimo

Our tour guide Aurora was lovely. She told us in great detail about the food. We were eating along with the wines. It was a very fulfilling experience with wonderful food all regarding the region Tuscany. It is a tour that I would highly recommend anyone to go to. Aurora kept us all together and safe while walking the crowded streets of Florence.

Amazing tour worth every minute!

Our tour with Miguel was one of the best parts of our entire trip to Portugal. He was easy to talk with and so knowledgeable - and he clearly enjoys what he is doing. We had amazing food experiences and learned so much. If I could recommend one tour to book - this would be it. I only wish we had done this earlier in our trip than we did! We are especially grateful and were so impressed by our guide Miguel. I could not have asked for a better experience. The Tuktuk tour was inspirational and fun as well.

Wonderful food experience and great guide

We had a great time on our Progressive Food Tour! Our guide, Diogo, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He took the utmost care to make sure every person in the group was having a good experience. The food we tasted was delicious, from the bifana to the francesinha. It was a delightful walk through a bustling part of Porto as well. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful walk with delicious food

Our guide was wonderful, the various foods we tried, the diffrent neighborhoods we visited were all great. We went to tiny very local place first where we had pork sandwiches and beer. We would have never found any of these places let alone go in and try. After pork sandwiches we climbed stairs to an African family run restaurant for amazing samosas and red wine. ( one always had choices of what to drink but i followed recommendation og guide). Next stop, as we climbed twoards the Castel was Cod cakes and octopus salad. I thought I woukd hate cod having tried it before . However this was cod with mixed with egg and shoestring potatoes....delicious. Then at the foot of the castel we topped our excursion of by a fantastic Pastel de.. just in time to watch the sunset from up high. Guide had lots of good historic information.

Eating Europe Lisbon walking Food Tour

This was an outstanding food tour provided by Eating Europe. It took us off the beaten path and to restaurants far outside the tourist areas. This is definitely something you want to try if you want to be adventurous. Carlos was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the restaurants we visited and the food we would be trying. The samples were great. A very decent taste for sure. I read some food tour reviews that said what they got amounted to a single bite or drop of wine. This was not the case for this tour. What was also nice was it was quite small. There were only seven of us and I think the maximum they take is eight. So it was a fantastic size. We also were fortunate to have had a great group of people in our group. We were definitely friends at the end and even made plans with one of the group to meet for a meal a few days later. Do not hesitate to book this food tour. It was well worth it and if you’re fortunate to have Carlos as your guide it’ll be that much better.

Portuguese history in food and wine.

This was a great tour with Gabi. All the food and wine offerings were delicious and came with a great story tied to Portuguese history. The neighborhoods visited were off the beaten path and I never felt crowded. A great way to spend time in Lisbon.

Disappointed in the quality of the food

Food is traditional for Portugal but not high end in quality or presentation. Guide was amazing and so much fun that it didn’t matter about the food or the atmosphere in the restaurants which was lacking .

Great food, great cruise, and great value.

Our guide was great and showed up early to the meeting point. The food stops were all tasty treats complemented by history, local culture and some personal stories. The cruise was fun, scenic, and also accompanied by food and drinks.

Great Tour, Good Food

Our tour started with apple pie, ended with Dutch croquettes, and was filled with good food and company in between. Our tour guide, Elena, was very sweet and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of history about Dutch food and some of the Jordan District in Amsterdam. She engaged everyone in the group and created situations in which we engaged with each other across the group. This was very useful to us as the canal cruise is in pretty tight quarters. I didn’t love all the food, but I didn’t dislike any of it. That’s just how Dutch food is; good but not great. But, as a tour, I’d recommend this one, especially if Elena is your guide.
