Enjoyable but Pressured for Reviews

The tour was well organized and everything ran on time. The stops were interesting and the pacing was comfortable. Personally, I would have preferred less wine and more food. I would only recommend this tour if you want to have about six different wines or drinks throughout the evening. Otherwise, a more food-focused tour might be a better fit. Even with discount codes, the tour is still a bit of a splurge compared to what you might spend dining out in Florence on your own. That said, it did offer a nice variety and a good way to experience multiple places with the convenience of a guide. What took away from the experience was the guide’s request at the end of the night for everyone to leave a review and include her name so she could “win” against other guides. It felt pressured and unnecessary after what had been an enjoyable evening. If you decide to take this tour, I would not put too much weight on reviews that mention specific guides by name since it seems those are strongly encouraged rather than organic reflections of the experience.

Gaining a Truly Local Perspective

This was a fantastic experience! We had a great deal of fun and appreciated our guide's knowledge about the history of the food and neighborhoods where she took us. My wife and I enjoy experiencing the culture of the places we visit, rather than simply hitting all the typical tourist areas. Our guide, Nadia, helped us to explore several local establishments and really get a sense of the people who live there.

Well Worth It!

We got extremely lucky and had a very small tour with an amazing guide, Isaak. He was knowledgeable and very kind. We were nervous to tour the market on a Saturday, but it was a perfect mix of walking through the busier parts and taking in the surrounding history and sights. Highly, highly recommend this tour. It was one of the best bits of our trip.

Riiiiiiccardo!!!

Ricardo was great! As usual, so full from the food tour that no room for dinner. Favorite spot was Pata Gastropub. Learned a few interesting history facts that were not taught in school.

Nice guide but not a good value

Nice guide. Gave us good information about the area and history. However, the food quality and quantity was lower than prior food tours we have experienced. 5 stops but the 4th stop consisted of a very, very meager plate of a tiny piece of sausage and tiny cheese. To call it a charcuterie board is ridiculous. Other stops were just ok. For the price, not a good value. Could have had a really nice dinner.

Wonderful Eating Experience

Fabulous and Fun Evening in Florence!

We really enjoyed this tour! We have done many food tours - but this one stands out in many ways. The combination of the food and wine was fabulous. Everything was included and we did not have to worry about any additional costs. The wine was great and the food was delicious. We tried many local foods that we would not have done on our own, and we enjoyed the pairings with the wine. The Negroni tasting was a lot of fun, and we were pleased we got to try a real negroni in Florence. The King of Cheese was a lot of fun as well. Our guide Assia was lovely and made sure everyone was comfortable and connected on the tour. She shared the history and stories of the place. The area we explored was very interesting and not the typical tourist spots. Most of the places had a sit down aspect to experience - as my husband recently had a back injury the sitting down and enjoying our food and wine was appreciated. It also allowed us to enjoy the ambiance and connect with the other participants. I do think this tour was good value as we we had a lot of food, we enjoyed the wine and most of all had a wonderful experience that we will not soon forget.

Great tour in Florence, would do again!

Serena was great and a wonderful host to walk us around Florence. The food and drinks are amazing and it gets your into the local spots across the river, great time! The gelato was amazing!
