Discovering hidden gems

Katerina was an amazing host as she led us through local, ‘undiscovered’ restaurants and explained how they related to Portuguese history. It was a fantastic experience, and I’ve already recommended it to my colleagues traveling with me.

Great pizza great guide

Paola was fabulous and charming as we made out way thru the very crowded streets for several delicious slices of pizza and a few great cocktails. It was a busy Saturday night and she handled it with ease. Lots of fun and good value, would recommend

London Borough Market visit

Pip was our tour guide in this very nice experience . He is very kind and approachable , quite knowledgeable . Regarding food, I loved the sausage roll , then we had a delicious pastel de nata , that is a Portuguese pastry, beyond delicious . The two varieties of cheese were also outstanding . There was also cider tasting and a wine bar vision with sticky toffee puffing that was really good. This is a highly recommended activity.

A Tour with Kiara and Eating Europe in Florence should be at the top of your bucket list.

Kiara took us on the Central Market tour in Florence which was amazing. We have taken more than a dozen food tours all over the world and she was the VERY BEST. From her knowledge about the foods of the region to the curated experiences of each local vender we met, it truly felt very special. Most of the vendors made their products from the wine and olive oil to the ham and pasta. It was the perfect way to spend the morning.

Unique experience to taste Florence like a local

Off the beaten path, our Europe Eats guide, a Florence native, introduced us to several local businesses, explaining the origins of their food, wine, and cheese including a Negroni. We ended with a gelato! It was well worth the experience!

False advertising & extremely poor commentary by the guide

The tour did not go where the description said - false advertisement!!! We didn’t go to the Jewish area and we only had 5 tastings not 9 and we only stood outside of Mozarts house plus she knew nothing about it. Plus the guide told us where to buy skin care and trinkets more than any history! Then when we tried to talk to each other she interrupted several times only to ask for good reviews and tips.

It was worth more than we paid.

Alice was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, kind, interesting, fascinating and fun. We went to great places. The food was top notch and the wine covered the areas. She was phenomenal.

Best way to get to know Food & Wine, and Florence an absolutely great experience!

Tina was an incredible guide through the food & wine scene in Florence. Every single place we went had the best food or the best wine or the best gelato having tasted it elsewhere. There was nothing better than what was given on that tour. She knew everybody very well in the shops. It just couldn’t have been better.
