Great tour to try the food of Portugal
The guide (David) did a great job! It was a nice selection of food and wine/beer. The first four restaurants were small, local and personable spots. The fifth was a little more commercial — and wasn’t as memorable. It was a lot of walking — up hill and up stairs, so be prepared! David also shared some history of the food and restaurants, which made it extra special. Definitely a tour worth taking!

What a fabulous tour with Fred! We had so much fun walking around Lisbon eating fabulous food. His knowledge of the neighborhoods, sites and the cuisine made it so enriching. Highly recommend this tour.

Perfect Intro to Florence food & wine
This was a perfect start to our stay in Florence especially as the stops took you around quiet, less touristy neighborhood establishments. Martino, our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the Tuscan culture, food and wine. We were able to sample lots of different and delicious foods -- including cheese, pasta, soup and off course gelato! The wine was varied and paired with our dish. Another bonus was that we discovered the hidden treasure of the Basilica di Santo Spirito -- where an early work (a crucifix) by Michelango is displayed. We came to visit this church on a different day during our stay but wouldn't have known about it if not for this tour! We would differently book with Eating Europe in another destination due to this experience.

Comedy show plus food tour in one!
David was a great, funny guide. I felt like we got a food tour plus a comedy set. Loved the Mozambique samosas the most. Enjoyed learning about the tidbits of Portuguese history. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend!!!
We booked the 5pm walking tour, and it was fantastic. You essentially get both dinner and a tour. The food we tried was wonderful. They were able to make reasonable accommodations for my travel partner with allergies. David, our guide, was entertaining and informative.

Perfect Intro to Florence food & wine

An excellent way to eat Lisbon - bring your walking shoes
Fred is an amazing guide. Generous in every sense of the word, he treated all of the guests with kindness and warmth. The tour itself felt as if I was unlocking city secrets with a local and a group of explorers. This tour must attract the curious and open minded from many walks of life — such was my experience. A excellent way to taste your way through the city and walk off the calories in the process.

This food tour exceeded my expectations. Fred advised the group of what restaurants to eat at and more importantly the ones to avoid. He also included a bit of history on the restaurants we toured and provided several additional links when the tour ended. BTW: All the restaurants on the tour were GR8. Would strongly recommend.

1st taste of Florence through through excellent food tour experience
Loved this experience! I've found in my travels that Eating Europe really nails it with the food tours no matter the country and this was no different. Elisa was fantastic. So much personality and energy, kept the vibe of our 3.5 hours spent together spirited and lively. I love that they hire locals to lead these tours because with that comes a personal touch, woven into the storytellings and making each stop that much more special. She covered a lot of ground and we stopped by places I would never have thought to on my own, that you could tell are frequented by locals. I believe the 'VIP' aspect was via the 3-wine tasting we had in a cellar of a winery (which was fantastic) and truffle pasta + Florentine steak experience. If that sounds good to you, this is the way to go! Otherwise, as their tour are always small group formats, the other option I'm sure is also quite good.

Great experience great guide - Alda. Definitely worth doing this tour - plenty of food and drink. A great way to experience a taste of Dutch food.
