Undeterred by the rain . . .

Fred is perfect in his role. Clearly knowledgeable on his topic, knows how to manage his customers, and was made to make us laugh and be engaged! The food choices were varied and offered us a deviation from what we were thinking was authentic. We were undeterred by the rain. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A Genuine Taste of Firenze

The tour exceeded all expectations and the itinerary followed a traditional evening meal in Florence. Our food and wine guide, Elisa, was a pure delight. We had lots of laughs, tasty wine and the best food Tuscany had to offer.

One of the best food & wine tours I’ve ever done

I absolutely loved this tour. The selection of restaurants and Portuguese food was excellent—thoughtful, authentic, and delicious across the board. This is easily one of the best food tours I’ve been on. Calling it a “tasting” is an understatement. The portions and wine pours were very generous, to the point where you’ll leave full and happy (pace yourself). Our guide Amanda was fantastic—warm, engaging, and knowledgeable. She shared great historical context while walking between stops, which added real depth to the experience rather than feeling like filler. If you’re even remotely interested in food, wine, or understanding Lisbon through what it eats, this tour is a must.

Great tour with Emery!

Awesome tour with Emery! She greeted us in a Philadelphia Eagles hat (go Birds!), so I knew it was going to be a great day :). Emery was very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and its history, and you can tell has a real passion for the city. Her narration and explanations were all very detailed, and her personality really made the tour fun. As for the locations and food itself, I enjoyed everything. The venues were all high quality with really interesting and authentic foods. The tour length of three hours was perfect (especially in hilly Edinburgh), and I highly recommend it.

Little historical bites

We had a lovely tour with Sky today! She has a wealth of knowledge about the culture and food customs of Barcelona. She engaged our teenagers as well and my son loved sharing historical and linguistic information with her. The tour was also able to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Drinking Verdero from the Perron was a great way to start the tour, but my favorite was actually have the pinchos and vermouth at Euskal Etxea. We had a great experience and would recommend it as an introduction to Barcelona!

Wonderful tour

Sky was a fantastic guide, we learnt so much about the history not only of the dishes we tried but the bars, restaurants and Barcelona in general. We tried some delicious & unusual tapas and got excellent recommendations from Sky for other things to try. ¡Gracias!

Een dagje anders in Parijs

Het was ontzettend leuk om mee te maken. Het fijn was dat het een kleine groep was en daardoor de aandacht 100 % voor ons was. De gids gaf op een leuk manier aandacht aan de drie gezinnen die mee deden. Er was ook een persoon fie met een elektrisch karretje meeging en werd ondanks de tijd krap werd volledig erbij betrokken. Chapeau! Van de vele keren dat wij in Parijs geweest zijn was dit het meest leerzame tripje. Thanks! Ook aan one Amerikaanse deelgenoten.

Did not meet expectations. 30% good.

E-postEmneWe met exactly at 5:00 PM. We were looking for a guide with a purple bag… we didn’t see anyone, only a woman sitting on the steps. We walked around a bit, wondering if this was the right place and were about to call—only then did she stand up and say she was the guide. She should have been standing there, clearly visible with the bag.There was a pleasant round of introductions before we started.The first stop was good – Casa Senra.The next stop was at her husband’s wine shop. There we were served their own vermouth and a small cracker with a bit of cheese, as well as an olive stick. We did not expect this to count as one of our six stops. It was nice to hear about her family and their wine production, but it has nothing to do with a pintxo bar.Meson Marin – good.Casa Senra – good.Beharri Cider – a sad basement venue where we were instructed to pour a little cider at the bottom of the glass from the tap. This turned out to be the drink meant to accompany the meat, which tasted good. However, everyone had empty glasses and there was no offer of refills. Red wine should have been served with such good meat. A depressing venue.What was supposed to be the final dessert stop turned out to be a piece of cake that the guide picked up from a bakery and served to us on the street! It was raining, so we found shelter under a sidewalk awning. A very poor ending to a tour we had been looking forward to.If this is the usual quality of your tours, we will avoid your company in the future. Sorry.

She delivered it in a very interactive and exciting way that is why there was never a dull moment. The foods and drinks were scrumptious! This food tour is one of the highlights of our Prague trip.
