Professionally organized and so much fun. We lucked out with our guide and our group - everyone was fun. Don’t bother eating breakfast before you depart. We enjoyed every stop on this fun, informative and delicious food tour. Enjoy a different glass of vino or beer with each small plate. Food was amazing. Thank you

Without question one of the best experiences you will have in Lisbon
If, as we were, you are somewhat skeptical that this program is rated five out of five stars with 99% of respondents saying they would recommend it, then cast your doubts aside. It truly is THE real deal, without question one of the best experiences you will have in Lisbon. We were fortunate to have a very small, intimate group when we did it, but with a maximum of 12 on any tour you should be fine no matter what. It is 3+ hours of getting to sample and enjoy some key components of Portuguese cuisine but, more than that, being taken to places and restaurants no tourist guide will tell you about and learning the history and background of the cuisine. Our guide, Melissa, was an extremely knowledgable and personable ambassador for her country. Whilst she had a company-issued template for the tour with maps and all sorts of information, she mostly spoke from her own experience, and was very comfortable engaging with us, answering our questions, laughing at our bad jokes, and tactfully commending our often lame attempts to speak Portuguese. Yes, it was great to try the varied assortment of dishes, but it was she who made the tour really 5 stars. So, though it may be on the expensive side, we would say it’s definitely worth it, and join the 99% in highly recommending you include it as part of your visit to Lisbon. PS Afterwards, you get a list of not only the places visited on the tour, but also of dozens of other food and drink recommendations. You may want to take the tour early in your stay in order to be able to make best use of all this wonderful insider info.

Best Food Tour Experience, Ever I’ve been on over 20 food tours across Europe and beyond, and I can confidently say nothing compares to tonight in Lisbon with Fred from Eating Europe. Fred didn’t just guide a tour, he commanded the evening. He somehow managed to keep 12 loud, curious Americans engaged, laughing, learning, eating, drinking, and moving through Lisbon like locals. That alone deserves a medal. The food was authentically Portuguese, not watered down or touristy. Every stop had meaning... tradition, history, culture, and flavor all woven together effortlessly. From incredible bites to perfectly timed drinks, everything felt intentional and personal. What truly set Fred apart was the fun. This wasn’t a scripted walk with rehearsed lines. Great First Activity in Town
Wonderful tour with Gerard and a small group last Thursday night, highly recommend as a way to start your time in Amsterdam! I booked a last minute long weekend in AMS without much of a plan, then got to looking for activities—I love starting my time in a new city with a food tour, making a nice long list of places to go back to. I am traveling solo, so I tacked onto a group of three (coincidentally from my hometown in the U.S.!). The food is the perfect lineup of local staples, the other locals I met this weekend confirmed we hit all the right foods in all the right places. The samples definitely added up to a full meal’s worth, with apple pie for dessert! The tour was a nice amount of walking with stops mixed well throughout and we learned a good deal of history and city-lore as well! Gerard has lived in AMS his whole life and was happy to share his perspective and experiences. He was a joy to have as a tour guide and I would enthusiastically recommend his tour to anyone in the area.
