Claire gave a fantastic tour !! the food on the stops was really great and was high quality, with a nice mix of savory and sweet. we had the chance to buy a couple things from some of the vendors, but it never felt forced ! would definitely do another tour again in another city.

Terrific food and guide

We enjoyed our evening food and wine tour with Amanda. She did an excellent job explaining the culinary background of Lisbon and Portugal and the places we visited were definitely off the beaten path and we would not have found them otherwise. Just enough time in each location and we enjoyed the Fado show as well. It was not necessary to bring a water bottle as water was supplied at each location, but comfortable shoes are a must. And enjoyable evening that went by quite quickly.

Excellent glimpse into the Lisbon culture

Leo was a great guide, giving insights into the history of Portugal and food choices Though small and out of the way spots, they did not disappoint!! Food was delicious and would recommend to any visitor or local Our small group size was a bonus!!

Take this tour!

We had a great tour led by Davis and Luaran (sp?). Smooth meet up, clear explanation of the plan and a lively presentation. The restaurants selected ranged from a hole in the wall Bifana spot to start, to a finish with a nata/coffee stop at the top of the Alfama. Five stops all together, no rushing, plenty of good food and drink. Accommodations made for gluten allergy/sensitivity. The tour lasted about three hours, at a leisurely stroll. Fair number of steps and hills, but at 70 we easily managed. Full tour with 12 people who understood this was a social event. David's commentary was humous, informative of history and the relative strengths and weaknesses of SuperBock and Sagres. We started at 11 AM, before the crowds ramped up. Too full of food and fun to move

We selected this tour since it had such wonderful reviews. They did not lie. Sara D was an excellent tour guide. The food and wine was amazing. Our group was pleasantly entranced but the food and wine selections. The tour is a perfect substitute for dinner. We had appetizers, main courses and desserts with a generous selection of wines. I booked for a group of 6 and everyone had something they loved. Would highly recommend

Delicious Walking Tour with Small Family Businesses

Lovely introduction to Florence through food

Ellie was a fantastic, lively guide. Very knowledgeable about how Florence’s history shapes today’s food culture. She has a lovely report with the vendors we visited and you can tell it influences their interactions with her group. Most felt like a personal connection. The tour is paced well with plenty of time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed or like it lagged. Even time to shop at each vendor when the group is small. I went as a solo traveller and thoroughly enjoyed my time!
