Tour operator anceled at the last minute

Canceled at the last minute! the tour operator cancelled the booking 24 hours before the date of the tour leaving me no time to find an alternate tour. i had booked two months in advance on Viator and paid in advance. this is extremely inappropriate. viator should not be promoting this tour..please publish my complaint regarding how irresponsible this tour operator has been with my reservation on your website.

A Relaxed Romp Around Jordaan

Gerard was an excellent guide with a deep knowledge of the area. He had a variety of facts and history to share for each location, and the food was a treat across the board. Moreover, Gerard was very helpful in terms of recommendations and guidance beyond the scope of the tour, and was a pleasure to chat with generally. We would strongly recommend this tour, particularly if it’s your first time in Amsterdam.

Gerard is a great guide!

Gerard was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable about the food and history of Amsterdam. He gave everyone great suggestions about where to go and what to do and even wrote them down for us. He also took us to a great place to buy some cheese when we asked about it. Highly recommend!

Do NOT book - left behind on a paid tour

Really disappointing experience. During the tour, the guide asked if anyone needed to use the restroom and we said yes. We were told to go ahead while the group was still inside the restaurant. When we came out just a few minutes later, the entire group had left without us. We had clearly told the guide where we were going. We spent about an hour trying to find the group and never could. Being left behind on a paid tour in a city you don’t know is incredibly frustrating. What made it worse was the company’s response afterward. The explanation they gave didn’t reflect what actually happened and implied we somehow separated from the group ourselves, which simply isn’t true. Despite that, they only offered a 15% refund because we “missed the final stop” — even though the reason we missed it was because the guide left us behind. Overall, very poorly handled situation and disappointing customer service.

We have just finished the East Berlin food and history tour. We highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Anastasia was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She made us feel comfortable and was happy to answer any questions we had. The food was incredible. I would suggest to come with an empty tummy. We had the best time.
