Salma was amazing. She taught as French history as it relates to food, and we tried many delicious treats, drinks and cheeses. Next time, I will arrive hungrier if possible!! It's as great combo of food, drink, history, and sightseeing!

Erica was an excellent guide and all of the food was delicious. Start your tour hungry and pace yourself. Many of the stops were also great opportunities to purchase gifts so, bring a tote. Unless you don’t mind carrying your treasures, build in some time to drop things back off at your hotel/airbnb.

The history of Lisbon wrapped in delicious food and drink!
Carlos did a wonderful job explaining the history on origin of iconic Lisbon delicacies - and then took us to amazing hole in the wall neighborhood taverns and bakeries to drive the point home. Great tour, great guide!

What Communication?
Not advertised as a walking tour. We disembarked the ship at 11:55, the map that was sent to us showed the walk to the meeting place was 27 minutes, we had 35 minutes before the start. We arrived at the monument at the start time of 12:30, no one was there, the contact numbers were to New York and London, not the Lisbon operators, by the time I finally was able to contact New York which is a 4 hour time difference and they had me on hold for 10 minutes or so while they contacted the actual people operating the tour they were at the first stop. Said we could join them there. There is nothing easy about walking Lisbon. We requested a refund which they refused now being over a half an hour behind the tour. They had our number and email but didn’t receive any communication until the New York call. Only then we were informed it was a walking tour and we needed to catch up.

Fabulous way to enjoy Lisboa!!
Wonderful afternoon of walking, eating, and drinking! Pedro was an amazing guide and so knowledgeable about the food, city, and history of Portugal.His hidden talent, singing Fado! We have been to food tours all over the world, this one ranks right up there. Such a great way to meet other people and travel to local restaurants off the busy tourist path. Obrigada!!

The perfect Lisbon experience!
If you could paint a picture of the perfect tour guide, it would look just like Fred! We all know the tour guide truly sets the tone for any tour experience and Fred made this tour so fun and interesting, and somehow managed to bring our group of strangers together to the point we all left as friends! Fred is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and a just a really cool and kind person! This tour is over-all amazing! It is so fun to walk all around Lisbon and check out restaurants, drinks spots , and dessert shops you probably would have otherwise overlooked. In addition to tasting many local specialties, which were all delicious, you get to learn a little bit about the history behind the dishes and what makes these particular versions of the dishes unique and especially tasty. We went on this tour with our three teenage children, two other couples, and one single person. Fred so naturally made everyone feel welcome. While we learned so much about Lisbon and the cuisine of the city, there was also a very special element of human connection. We got time to enjoy food and drinks around a big table and talk, laugh, and share stories. And by the end of our tour every person hugged each other goodbye. Even our kids had the best time, and that’s not always the easiest thing to accomplish! I can’t recommend this tour enough, and I highly recommend you search out Fred as your guide - you won’t be sorry!

Great food tour - do it.
Lizzie was wonderful. Very animated and full of information about our locations. She was also interested in her guests and facilitated our interaction with each other. She put this one over the top for us. Aside from that, the restaurants chosen were top-notch and we were fed very well. I’ve done a lot of food tours, but this one is at the top of the list.

Eat London was wonderful!
Lizzie, our guide, was wonderfully informative and animated! The restaurants and dishes chosen were top-notch and the servings were plentiful! I’ve not participated in an Eat Europe tour before, but I’ll look for them from now on. It was a great time and Lizzie put it over the top!
