Best food tour, incredible!!

If you are looking for reviews and researching walking food tours, just stop. Stop right where you are and save time and BOOK THIS. I went in cold and did a touch of research and on a wing and a prayer booked out tour (for context, I was with my 15 yr old who loves food). There were 6 of us, 2 Americans, 2 aussies, 2 scotts, and one incredible tour guide, Jesita. She had the most lovely calm and peaceful demeanor, and full of knowledge and explained everything so sufficiently. We started with a sweet pastry, savory pastry, wine, and beef dish, then pate, cheese store and off to a tasting of the cheese with white and then red wine paired with a dessert. I didn’t want the tour to end. We had such a great time and it was great meeting people from all around the world and sharing our experiences. My daughter loved it. And even though she could not drink the wine, it was replaced with other mock tails or delicious fruit drink drinks. Different than what we get in the United States and clearly way better. We even tried to buy a bottle of the grape juice they gave her. A tour guide was absolutely amazing. He cannot speak highly enough about her. I highly recommend this tour if you were considering it at all please stop scrolling and just book it right now. You will not be disappointed. I should also point out that the instructions were super clear, the company was easy to communicate as we were running late, and the whole experience was completely seamless.

Wonderful tour!!!

We had a wonderful tour with Carlos!! Every restaurant that we went to was wonderful, and the history and facts that he included were much needed and very informative. The food and wine were excellent and plentiful, come hungry! Will recommend this tour to all family and friends that come to Lisbon!

Amazing Tour with Fred

Frederico (Fred) was our tour guide. From the moment I looked in to Fred’s eyes, I knew we had hit the gastronomic lottery! Fred was funny, engaging, and the best ambassador that food and Lisbon could have. Did we mention Fred by name? A tour guide can make or break a tour…and Fred was the man! We now call him the Balboa of Food Exploration in Lisbon (Fred, that is). Fred picked great spots to eat. Fred explained all the nuances of Portuguese food. Fred detailed Portuguese culture. Fred navigated the streets of Lisbon, keeping our group of derelicts in great working shape and headed in the right direction. Our tour guide…Fred…was the more than a tour guide…he was comedian, translator, peacemaker, and confessionist wrapped up in one. If we had come across an emergency, Fred would have jumped in and saved the day. In short, we ate great, learned so much, had tons of fun, but most importantly, we had Fred!!! Can’t recommend this tour…with Fred…higher!
